    The Case Against the 360

Following the footsteps of a fellow Sythe member and world acclaimed village retard (Muffinator), I've come to create the first real and valid case against a console. In this case, the Xbox 360.

Unlike said idiot, I shall not be basing this 'case' on biased opinions or random percentages. Instead, I shall try to be as logical and as explanatory as possible, so that even the lowest of you can fully comprehend what I say. Yes Muffinator. That was aimed directly at you.

First off, the console itself. As Muffinator put it,
Following his logic, the 360 is the worst off out of all the three consoles. I am referring to the Red Ring of Death. So far, the 360 has been showing the highest failure rate out of every other console ever. Though the specific percentage is not known, we do know that the 360 has a failure rate of over 30%.
This means that if you have 3 friends, and each of them buys a 360, at least one will break. This is unacceptable. Microsoft has, however, extended warranties in light of this. However, there are still reports of console replacements taking weeks on end. Sure they're fixing it for you, but in the mean time you are stuck with no console, no game, etc.

In comparison to the PS3 and Wii, failure rates have generally been below 3%. This is perfectly normal AND acceptable for any tech product. And, in this way, the 360 fails.

    Please see:

Now we know that even though the console itself may not be reliable, what really 'makes or breaks' it, is its game library. This is where the 360 really shines. Out of all the other consoles, the 360 has the biggest and, arguable, most varied game library. In this way, the 360 outshines all of its opponents.
We all know that what really matters in a game library are its exclusives. Now, the 360 has many top class, 'AAA' exclusives. However, being a PC gamer myself, and I assume that basically of you have a PC that can play games (albeit not at the highest settings etc.), I noticed that the majority of '360 exclusives' are being ported to the PC, if not releasing at the same time.
Let's make a list shall we?
    Taken from www.gamerankings.com
I'm looking titles that have scored a 85% or more - this is not to say that anything less is bad, it's just to show the 360s top games based on the reviews.
Forgive me for not including all the exclusives ever listed for the 360.
The titles listed in bold are those that will not appear for the PC, PS3 or any other platform.
People think that just because some games on the 360 aren't coming to the PS3 or Wii, they are 360 exclusives. This is NOT the case when taking the PC into account.
The 360 undoubtedly has some great games. It even has more completely exclusive high rated games than the PS3 or Wii.
Looking to the future though, the PS3 and Wii exclusives library will grow. These exclusives will remain solely on their respective console. The 360 on the other hand, will continue to get '360 and PC' exclusives.

Now, this is perfectly fine if you don't have a PC capable of playing any games whatsoever. In fact, I recommend you buy a 360 over the other two consoles if you do not game on the PC at all. However, if you are like me, and game on the PC as well as a console, by choosing the 360 you end up playing, for the majority, the same games.

Following this argument, XBL is an extremely good online 'service'.
    The way online goes:
PC online > XBL > PSN
I'll admit that any time. However, since the majority of 360 games will also be on the PC, you might as well play the PC version of those games online seeing as PC online > XBL. The PSN can cater to its exclusives not found on the PC.

The 360 is by no means a BAD console. I feel that if you have a decent PC that can play games, the 360 for you is redundant. You'd be playing practically the same games.
The 360 is perfect for you if you do not have a PC capable of playing anything..

    Thus:
    PC + PS3 > 360 + PC

Forgot to mention that the ps3 is the same price as a blu-ray player.
