From the PR team to the Sythe community.

Hey Sythe


I know there's been some turbulence lately with the PR team and questions about the activities that go on within it, a lot of stemmed from this thread here. First off, we would like to thank you for giving us valuable feedback and suggestions on how to improve the opportunities for improvement we do have, you are also able to do so at anytime here. now to move onto some changes and how we will be moving forward as a team​

Promotions:

I'm Solo: Moves from PR member to PR Leader
Tyler: Steps into the position of PR Leader
Gun: Steps into the position of PR Member
Hahanerd: Steps into the position of PR member​

Stepping down:

Soul: Leaves his positions as a PR Member
Aroxez: Leaves his position as a PR Member
Buyacc: Leaves his position as PR Leader to PR Member
Really Swell: Leaves his position as a PR Member

I would like to thank Buyacc, Soul, Really Swell and Aroxez for the time their served in their respective positions, and welcome our new members into their positions.






A large amount of the feedback we have seen has been on the topic of three things, which I will address below:

• Issues with leadership/Reshuffling needed of team
• Issues with the activity of the PR members
• Issues with not knowing what the PR team does or is currently working on.

Issues with leadership/Reshuffling needed of team:

Richard has stepped in to help aid in this, The changes that were made to the team are listed above. In addition to the changes made, the team will now be making mandatory PR leader elections so that things do not get too stale and if the group is questioning the leadership, new leaders can be put in place. Here's a bit about the new leaders.


@Tyler Served as one of the first PR leaders and was a founder of the PR team, He has experience in various social media platforms and does small PR based work through his employment in real life.

@Im Solo Has a clear and future direction in which he wants to take the Sythe PR team, Richard has vetted him in length and Im Solo has has experience in raising and selling social media accounts




Issues with the activity of the PR members:

There is going to be a system made in place where all members and leaders are subject to a monthly check in, to show each other what has they have done for the month, This will also help in the decision making when selecting new leadership.





Issues with not knowing what the PR team does or is currently working on:

On August 11th, 2016 I suggested we make a "PR completed list" which is posted to the community and details what the PR team has worked on the last month, This is also a way to hold the PR team accountable to the community as well as show you the stuff we work on that you don't see. Expect so see this implemented in January for what we have done in December.





In conclusion, We thank you for giving us the opportunity to improve, please let us know how we are doing and we will do the best to move forwards and upwards, and we are always looking for new talent, we promote based off of merit and experience, if you think your fit for the job put in an application here.

 

Well said, hoping to see some major improvements on the PR side of things & I got one more thing to say and that's "Make Sythe Great Again."

 

I love this thread.
i enjoy how people are stepping up and are willing to fix the deemed 'issues' that came to surface in one of the threads linked above. The professionalism to address Sythe as a whole.
All the important topics have been hit and i sincerely hope that major improvements happen.

Very interested to see how Gun will do in particular, other than that, best of luck PR.

 

Richard firmly believes Gun will do productive work with the PR team, I'm unsure of the vetting process he went through with Gun, but Gun seems to have the want to make the PR team better and we hear he's did well when in the TCT

 

What about @Really Swell

 

He had left before the changes were made by Richard as he wasnt on the active userbase when I came on, Sad to see him go and we will miss his memes! I'll update the thread to include him in the members changes thanks @Excelont

 

This is hidden under the CDT christmas stuff so exposure.
