MiniRanks as a Donor Perk?

I'm down for a custom MiniRank, but would suggest keeping it untradeable (so your first suggestion). I'd just look at it as a personalized token. (Same concept as a UI/Custom Rank)

 

Correct, I think we shouldn't flood the market with more and more tradeable MiniRanks, however it would be cool to see what people come up with.

 

guess I should clarify which idea I like more. But I think it should be untradable at least starting off

 

100% support option 2. This allows for services and businesses to give their workers miniranks. I.E. Bogla livechat workers can have one that shows that they work for bogla same for all the other livechats. This can work across questing and skilling services as well...

 

Clickable miniranks?

 

I actually Really like suggestion 1 + 2.
First one I like because it's only for you, and no one else can have your MiniRank, which makes it special.
Second one I like because you could either spam your Mini, or keep it to yourself so it's rare.

 

Here's an idea:

$300+ Donors get 1 minirank as described(untradeable) for say 500 sythe gold.

$500+ donors have the OPTION to purchase a 2nd minirank for 1,000 sythe gold.

$1,000+ has the option for a 3rd minirank for 2,500 sythe gold.

Anybody $300+ can buy the ability to trade their custom mini's for say a fee of 250-500 sythe gold.


Any feedback on this? It adds 3 donor perks + gives sythe gold more use.


It also will prevent the admin team from getting overworked creating mini's for every $300+ donor every single day, this way theres a cost in donation terms & in activity terms(where sythe gold comes from).

 

I personally dislike seeing a bunch of meaningless miniranks (+ w.e sythe gold is trying to communicate) displayed on the profile, so a bunch of meaningless donor miniranks that aren't only unique to the donor (second suggestion)...no thanks & please clean this stuff up instead [probably too late for though].

 

Would be neat if possible for HIGH donors to redirect back to their site. Otherwise I think just images themselves would be nice.

Yea. Allow users to add a link to their current custom minirank at a higher level. It would be a nice little touch.

Please don't make them tradeable. please.

$300 -> 1 untradeable mini

$500 -> 2nd untradeable mini

$1000 -> 3rd untradeable mini (maybe link back to a site of your choosing?)

 

Why $300+? Because someone who is a $300+ suggested so?

I like the concept, both concepts 1st and 2nd. But I feel the second idea should be restricted to say 5 mini's being able to be given out which isn't tradeable further. So it's like a club-type of concept. Or you give it to your favourite type of people? Also fine with the third concept, but still unsure of why at the higher end. $100 doesn't have many perks. Perhaps instead of prizeboxes this minirank system could be put in for that level, and then implement more at $300 and then another better version at $500 etc.


Also like the idea that they could be clickable to a site. Not sure anyone would click it, but why not.

 

To get people to donate, actually.
