Moderator applications now open!

Make them public please, id like to know who specifically to rip on.

 

If and when you promote someone through an application, could you please state that they have been promoted because of an application? I think it would be nice to see who was nominated and who applied.

 

This really isn't different than having people being nominated by staff, because of the voting process. Basically everyone will be vetoed, and anyone that passes and becomes a moderator would have most likely been nominated anyways.

Just my two cents. Anyways I like this idea, but then again that's all I see it as right now an idea. I think community nominated moderators for probationary terms to see if they'd be able to do the work and later could move on to full time positions would have been better.

 

There isn't much difference but it does allow the staff to know who is actually interested. I remember it being difficult to nominate members who were both interested and qualified. There are plenty of members not able to dedicate their time, so this should help weed out those members.
