Excessive bumping @multiple threads

Also, my suggestion of limiting amount of threads you are allowed to bump each 8 hours seems perfectly reasonable. What do you have to say against that? Assuming there is already 8 hour bump limit, this one is very similar, therefore it does not violate any "free market".

 

By that logic anyone invested in RWT should have a different thread for buying and selling each type of gold as they might stop reading at "Buy".

Seriously, wtf is that logic? Why are we assuming that every customer is a complete idiot and needs hand holding in the section?

 

There's over 10-15 diff RSPS, I'm in 9 currently and theres 2-6 more I can go into with small markets.


RSPS close practically monthly, subsections are not an option unless staff intended to be bugging sythe 2-4 times a month every single month for the rest of eternity which I cant see happening.

Then they have to move all the threads, all the stickys, everything over over and over and over over over over over, it's going to be a real drag 3 months later when they've remade new subsections a dozen times lol.

 

Support. In my opinion, it would be nice to have one thread per section (at least on the RSPS section) like an RSPS gold shop where you list different servers you are buying/selling gold on and different prices. One thread per person. I currently have 3 threads, but I would like all sellers to have one thread each. But of course I can't change to one thread without losing 90% of my customers unless everyone does it.

You're lazy, admit it. You just don't want to have to make a nice and neat thread including all the markets you're involved in. You want to keep it plain and simple.

I agree with your suggestion whole heartedly. There is no reason that people like Bus369 should get to abuse their position in order to gain revenue, it's simply not fair to smaller businesses.

I hope that you see the relevance in what OP is trying to bring forth here. It has nothing to do with limiting those shops currently existing, it's about ALLOWING lesser shops to become more known so that everyone has an equal chance at success, which is what the free market is all about. Equality for all.

Alright, ignore the subsection solution, it was not mine anyway. Now give valid reasons why you should be able to bump 10+ threads each 8 hours in a single section.

 

it's worth noting that the only people who have posted in favor of leaving things as is are those involved in the market itself (bus, rscrown, and i guess video too but he has no personal ties afaik)

if everyone else sees this as unreasonable, i don't see why we should favor the few people who are making the most noise when this is incongruous with every other forum on sythe. i think we should tell everyone to consolidate their threads, especially when people are literally copying and pasting the same thread and slapping a different title on it (which is what most of these duplicate threads are).

 

The issue is not them having multiple threads. The issue is when literally they fill up half a page each 8 hours. Allowing members to bump unlimited amount of threads in a single section is ridiculous.

Why on earth would you rule against the people involved most in the market?


I swear if this passes I'm going to every Chinese section and suggesting we merge every single game together in them, this is bullshit.



Might aswell merge runescape 2007, rs3, and deadman together to since their all under this "theoretical umbrella" like RSPS are evidently.

Same goes for every giftcard thread, every Chinese MMO,etc.


Also lets not forget the giant extra swapping and gambling section we have UNDER THE RSPS SECTION AND RUNESCAPE GUIDES.

Smh, railroading the RSPS section is such a violation of free market, theres no way in hell sythe is going to approve this.

 

When will you get you DONT keep the market alive. You think making it look active is going to make it look better when it doesn't. Eventually you're going to have to get rid of your 15 threads..

I can bet there will be changes so just live with it. Changes need to be done. RSPS is not a different market compared to anything else, I don't go to csgo market and have a seperate thread for knifes/skins/keys

 

because they're spamming a forum with half a dozen or more duplicate threads that cater to tiny player bases; because this is inconsistent with how we handle every other forum on sythe

well they're pretty much tied to each other right? if they have single threads then they cant singlehandedly fill up the forum. im fine with making it a 1 bump per forum per 8 hrs rule, but that's pretty complicated. i think it works best for traders if they just consolidate


also, fwiw, let's try to keep things civil. this is a suggestion thread, not a spam forum thread. so cool it on both sides

 

Video said himself that staff ruled that in certain sections the spam was allowed because it was ruled that it supported the market more than it hurt it.


Prime examplether games and those sections with the Chinese, its been allowed FOREVER.


It actually is perfectly consistent, RSPS are in a industry all their own u cant compare them to anything else, just like the MMO's are.

 

I'd also imagine it involves people getting more unneeded infractions for either bumping there thread 8 hours early/making new thread for the same thing

I like the idea of just having [Buying/Selling~NR/Rspspk/osscape/ikov] Or something in there title, i think 2 threads in the market max is fine.

I don't think bus/dobi/rscrown/planetsgold/r5v should be given a say on this thread when it comes to making a decision, in the end they are just trying to protect there own business and get as much traffic as possible.

Post count from those sections should be removed then, other sections that allow spamming don't give post count.

This will ultimately lead to the collapse of its industry, if staff wish to implement it then all I ask is promise to re-review it and you'll understand just how bad of an idea this is.


Staff, your going to single handly collapse every bigger traders traffic, the small traders don't realize this, but what are you going to do when the hellhole of this industry begins turning into the account market?

Vastly more randoms will come in and begin scamming, it will cripple the legitimate traders and force us out of business, the randoms will run rampant, scams will go up a ton and the industry will end up collapsed.


Obviously I'm biased, but I don't care what you say- The RSPS giants who control the majority of the industry are almost all legitmate, if you begin strangling our sales we WILL be forced to sell at lower prices to get sales, gold will begin to flux and drop, scams will increase as the margins go down and we leave the industry.


It's easy to not think so when ur not the ones handling 250-1,000 people trading legitimately everyday between the RSPS giants.


If staff will agree to reexamine this after 2 weeks- 1 month, you'll understand just how badly the industry will degrade, you'll increase scamming 500 fold.


What you see now is a FRACTION of the potential scams if the big traders start leaving the market.

This is market suicide.

Last thing I'm saying.

 

I see no issue how it would be complicated limiting amount of threads. Perhaps make it max 2 owned threads on first & second page? Last post on second page is usually 6-9 hours old. So to get on third page in RSPS market it usually takes 10-15 hours.

 

Staff don't care if they collapse bigger traders traffic, they need to make the forum a welcoming place for all newcomers trying to get into the market, not just back up all the big traders 24.7

Is there any reason for your 15 threads with the exact same layout just a different rsps in title? Do you really think thats helping the market? I'd also like to add you dont even deal via sythe, you deal via your website so your arguement is just invalid.

If you feel the whole market is going to crash, why try help it? If people don't want to buy gp your thread being theres not going to be like ''Oh lets buy some gp to keep this market even more active!''

How is INCREASING SCAMS IN AN INDUSTRY MAKING THAT INDUSTRY A "WELCOMING PLACE FOR NEWCOMERS".


Do you have any idea how much scamming went up when I was banned for a month on rsgoldtime and couldn't advertise it?

It was up like 20%, in a freaking month!


That's how you want to welcome new comers? with 1/5 or 1/4 trades they get scammed on ?



At least when the bigger traders control the game the newcomers actually know WE'LL BE LEGITMATE.

 

Scammings not something you'll ever be able to stop. If newcomers want to take the risk trading with another newcomer thats there problem, but they'll know from your title saying 1k+ vouchs and all that if they want gp legit to go to you, even though your a sketchy + shady scumbag who hits people off of rs accs for 400m and trys to keep it

ontop of this theres more websites now, so even if they did make it 1 thread theres about 4-5 big sellers still, those are still going to be the ones standing out to people wanting to buy gp
