Excessive bumping @multiple threads

Is that really any different to going to a gold shop and finding that they're out of stock of what you want or visiting an AIO service and finding that they don't have someone who can get you 50-92 runecrafting?

I don't see why they can't put it in their title. You have around 75 characters or something to use. Let's face it, you don't need "#Best rates# | 07/rs3/btc/dogecoin | Buy/sell" and whatever else in your thread title...

Using numbers from one occasion is not called knowing whats up. Also these 20 threads are enough to send a thread to second page. It does not matter their quantity, they are enough to cause damage and mess up the section. Appropriate adjustments needs to be done.

 

In all honesty I'm wondering why you're so convinced that having multiple threads in one section is a big advantage - if I were to look for a reliable seller, I would pick someone with 1 great thread over someone with 3+ mediocre threads any day.

 

Is bumping other peoples thread within the rules? Otherwise one can bump threads right before they post in their own.

 

I've personally seen how people are bumping 5+ threads in that section. It's unfair for others trying to participate in the market and it allows sellers to advertise their websites throughout the day. Rsps markets are usually relatively small. A shitty rsps server with 30 players for example doesn't deserve an entire extra thread dedicated to it. Multiple rsps servers easily fit in 1 thread title.

 

You can put your competitors' threads at the bottom, therefore making you the more likely one most customers will pick. It does not matter how you would act. In the end, most people will always pick what they see first. For instance, if you compare how many pick the results on first page on Google with second page, you'd notice a huge difference.

You are right, it would confuse customers if you merge your threads into one. However, it's not directly promising that one person has 7-8 threads and constantly bumping each and one of them. This easily sending all other competitors' threads to second page. There lies the unfairness. My proposed solution is limiting how many threads you are allowed to bump each 8 hours.

Another solution is making sub-sections. Anyhow, this should be immediatly fixed.

Nobodys stopping you from making more threads.


That's just it, I don't have to make an argument because I have the right to a free market thanks to sythe, you don't have the right to take that away from me or any other rsps gold seller .

 

I cant make like 100 different threads for every quest. I even doubt I can make different threads for different packages (monkey madness, desert treasure).

 

i agree with you, op. i was half-tempted to make 20 threads in that forum, one for every random-ass private server i could find, to show my displeasure with the current rule. but i agree with you, there's no reason to allow this in my eyes

absolutely nothing!

 

so people are allow to make multiple threads in one section yet when I had around 2 threads in one section of two different things I was force to combine my thread into one (since it was a rule). I'm talking about last year 2015 but others can? This is how these spammers get like more than 200 pc per month very easily, 20+ pc per day lmao so disgusting. Maybe one day some people may have their own page (20 threads per section). =)

 

For everyone using the other markets such as questing or any other market as an excuse- you cant.


Rsps is in a class and industry on its own, you cannot compare it to any other industry, its a mile from even runescape.

 

It needs to be fixed, newcomers are having a very difficult time getting into such a market and making it more active when people like you have 16 different threads that you bump and literally take up the front page which is not fair imo. You want it because you can spam a whole section without getting banned. This was also noted in the previous thread.

 

for everyone saying "I can just make 20 threads and bump shit private servers" we are not bumping what is not worth our time. All servers myself noble, dobi, bus and so on sell on have a pretty large community.

One thread containing 5 private servers may be skipped over. If you are searching for os-scape and you see this

user1's thread: selling rspspk

user2's thread selling os-scape

user 3: selling rspspk, runique, os-scape, nr/near reality, ikov2

user 4: selling runique

user 5: selling os-scape

you would most likely skip past user 3 skim past threads until you found someone that was only selling what you wanted if you want os-scape and the first thing you see is rspspk you may skip that thread completely.

I do not see any solution without damaging some peoples shop.

 

If everyone had to make 1 thread for the Rsps section instead of having multiple I personally can't think of a problem with that.
