Damn. They are hammering him. I guess I should feel guilty thinking the staff would just let him off because of his rep. I suspect some or most will change their vote now he is showing proper remorse etc. But it's an interesting situation/read.

 

If he scammed he would've had a higher chance of approval

 

he should have admitted it himself, then they would have banned him for a week then made him mod / omm

 

try again in 6 months

I think 6 months is pretty harsh as well but I think the decision was fair. He may be extremely trusted but does that mean he gets special treatment over the system? Think about it this way

Scammer/Vader makes a new account
User become really reputable
1 year+ later he gets caught
User creates pardon
User is pardoned because he is 'extremely trusted'
profit???

It set a good example on how the pardon system doesn't have double standards.

 

So why does bus369 keep getting pardoned? He has broken every rule except for trying to sell his sythe account, which all should result in a permanent ban yet he manages to get pardoned, doesnt make sense to bring a person like that back here.
