[Tutorial] How to Multi-Log [No Download][3 easy steps]

To everyone saying this is useless: it isn't

For me, it doesn't work though

I'm using the downloadable RS client and my cache is in C:\Windows\.jagex_cache_32

I've marked random.dat as read-only but I still get the "too many accounts logged in from your address" error

OP, got any idea what could be going wrong?

Lol I don't even have a random.dat in my cache folder. I think this might have specific requirements.
EDIT: For those who don't see it in C:\.jagex_cache32\, it's in C:\Windows\.jagex_cache32\

 

You may have more than one folder, best bet is to just search your computer for '.jagex_cache_32' and see what turns up. It isn't the fact that you use the downloadable client cuz I do the same and this works for me.

^ Same here, just gotta be aware that some people might have 2 or more folders or in different locations. I have 2 folders for some reason...

There are multiple places possible where the jagex cache is located, including the random.dat can be placed outside the Jagex_Cache folder. I found mine here and i play with the RS Client

c:/users/Roy/ and there was the random.dat file allong with jagexappletviewerpreferences etc.

I also found a random.dat in here:

c:/windows/jagex cache_32/random.dat

However setting the random.dat in the windows folder to ''read'' did not work, setting the random.dat in the users folder on your C drive did work, the best way is to just searsh your drive for random.dat and setting them all to read, as their can be multiple locations where jagex seems to put their shit files..

Omg! Thanks, a tonne I will be using this a lot, because I have a main and a pure account that I use and sometimes need to transfer GP from my mule

 

You most likely have to delete the random.dat if you only find one on ur pc and that doesnt work, then when you delete that and reload RS it should create on in C/users/****/random.dat, and that one should work
