Report a Scammer section

This section, again, is filled with unanswered scam reports. Including a few of mine.

OT: Yeah it is getting filled with pages of unanswered reports, so mods do your thing>_<

 

There are only a limited ammount of sectionals that are allowed to do them, and global mods and admins have enough to do around the site already.

Be patient and they will be done.

Scam reports are a pain, nobody seems to follow the guidelines and either paste a big block of text or just randomly throw us 15 screenies with no explanation.

 

Just deny, lock and archive if they don't have a good explanation? Or ask them to make a new report with an explanation, via pm of course.

Why do only certain sectional mods have the ability to review scam reports?

 

Some staff don't know how to/don't care to learn how to interpret reports efficiently.

 

Perhaps we need another mod, or two.

Normally mine get answered pretty quickly. Every ban evader report i've posted has been taken care of within the hour normally. Positive feedback!

 

Yeah why not have mods specifically for that section? Maby if you had mods specifically assigned to that section it would lighten loads on other mods? I always see skele master there and i dont think ive ever seen any other mod in that section.

They'll get done when they get done. Moderators have more important things to be doing, like living life.

 

What if you gave some people not quite mod status but a little below? Say if you gave someone(we will say me hypothetically) the chance to go through the threads and kind of filter through and if there is enough solid evidence then the thread stays open but if not then the thread will be closed by this person? So maby atleast you can save the mods(sele master) some time from going though pointless threads that dont have enough evidence to ban anyone anyways? Just an idea

The non-staff members could be biased. That is a stupid idea to let non-staff do it.

The section should be cleared out even faster than the spam section in order to prevent the scammers from striking again. You guys should assign more mods there, or choose a couple more.

 

Im not saying non staff members im saying people you are considering for mod status but not quite mods yet? Like have that the starting point for new mods that there first job is to monitor the scammer section? Idk just my thoughts, i wasnt meaning me actually doing it

 

Most new mods don't have that much experience in the market, if they do they get perms in the Scammer section and they jump right on them (Skele_Master).


Just give it time. Hopefully we'll get some active market mods that can actually do 'em.
