New Logo:

How about we trial each logo with the same persons background (e.g. 1 logo with 1 background; 2 logo with 2 background etc.)
That will actually show people what it looks and feels like on the site, and then we can have a new poll after the trials to decide.
Just a thought.

EDIT: I'm not going to lie, looking back over the competition thread a simple logo like no.3 or no.4 would look better in my honest opinion. This one looks too medieval for me, sorry.

Not hating on you MoonGlare. I know it would have taken a lot of effort for this, and it is a nice logo, I just don't think it suits this website

 

This... It looks terrible.

Kind of hard to have a poll when we can't see how it looks on the site. Should put them all up and give it one more shot, with public votes so we can see if people cheat.

 

I think that would seem very diplomatic and seems like a good idea. Make it so like, only members that have joined over a month or donated that can vote. Oh, Dia, what is the font used in your sig? It's very clean.

 

I agree with this 100 percent.

Whilst I appreciate the effort that it would've taken to create a design like that it just looks like a logo you'd find on a failing Runescape website. That is just my personal opinion though; people have different styles and tastes.

 

Yea, I have to agree. I dislike everything about it. It looks rushed, doesn't suit Sythe. Even teh background, it just looks wrong.

 

Looks great IMO, randomly visited sythe today and saw this, good job again to the staff

 

It looks modern and to date! Love it!

 

Don't like the new layout, logo looks like its made from jelly and background is WAY too busy, I'll stick with the older Nextgen theme.
Edit: God damn it is annoying to look at lol.

How the fuck do I switch back to the older better version?

 

Left under corner, it has a dropdown with themes on there, just switch back to Nextgen Lite.

for mods: this is not spam i am serious about liking the current logo and bg, i like the way they moved the ads to the right side of the screen as well, leaving more room for me to enjoy the beautiful bg that moonglare created for us

 

TBH what's the issue with offering the top 3 as choices? If I understand correctly the amount of HTML that needs to be done is really quite small - I might make a chrome extension or something to change it on the client-side if I'm bored enough

 

The motto underneath the logo is slightly hard to read with the new background image however, I love the background image :}

 

Thinking back to when I voted, both yours and Moon's logo's were far too busy and not what should be chosen as a 'logo'.

Upon switching back I realised how much better and easier to look at the older theme is.

 

Idk how to put this really. You can never satisfy EVERYONE no matter how hard you try. There will always be some grateful and others dissatisfied, its a fact of life. My logo and background won because it got the most votes.

But whatever I guess, I would be more than happy to revise the background and logo because as you all may know nobody is perfect and there is always room for improvement; and I'm always up for that.
