There are a few perks we have which seem to confuse people. So, I thought I'd make a post explaining them and what restrictions/conditions there are for each.

Custom User Titles
User titles are the short pieces of text below everyone's names. Some people's say "Forum Addict", among other things. One of our donation perks is a Custom User Title. This title can be nearly anything, however, there are some restrictions. For example, you cannot choose "Administrator" for your title. You also couldn't choose "MiddleMan". We don't allow anything staff related because we don't want people to be confused about someone who is not staff being staff. When you donate the proper amount to get a Custom User Title, you will be asked what you want. What you request must be approved...

Enhanced Custom User Titles
Enhanced Custom User Titles are essentially the same as Custom User Titles but with some "flare". You can have colors, maybe a different font, etc. You just get some extra abilities for your title.

Custom Ranks
Custom ranks are fairly self explanatory. However, when I say custom ranks, I don't mean things like "Cracker Head" or "Highly Trusted". With donations, a Custom Rank refers to a rank that only YOU have. An exmaple is this:

While these ranks are custom, there are a couple restrictions. First, the rank must say "$X Donator", you don't get to choose the title of the rank. (After all, it is still a donation rank...) Second, we require at least one of the item icons be a pile of gold. This is to ensure people realize your rank is a donation rank. Lastly, you can not pick just anything for the other two icons. For example, we would not allow Party Hats (as admin ranks user them) or santa hats (as globals and many other staff ranks use them). As with custom titles, you tell us what item/icon you want and we'll have to approve it. We make the rank for you so all you have to do is pick an icon. (When I say "icon", I'm referring to the two eggs in the above exmaple.)

Custom Username Images
A custom username image is when we use an image for your username instead of text. I have one, as you can see. There are a few restrictions with these which I'll list:
1. They cannot be bigger than 200x40px.
2. The font color for your username must match your usergroup.
3. Your username must be readable.
4. The image must be approved by us.

I hope this clarifies how the custom perks work and help you guys see what we allow and don't allow.

I don't see what the harm is as long as it's not 'Official Middleman'.

You guys are correct and to be honest, that slipped through unnoticed.

If he were a middleman, I'd allow that title, however, since he isn't I'll ask him to come up with a new one.

Thanks for correcting this as I want to be fair to everyone who has a custom title!

I don't see why "Middleman" as a User Title is such a big deal?

As long as he doesn't put Official Middleman or such, it should be fine..?
