Are you stupid. Dicing is NOT the reason. Dicing just makes the money go back and forth, while bot farms are what bring the gp into the game,
Gold farmers farm items to sell for gold, thus not farming gold directly. Are you seriously saying they sell every yew log, or every potato cactus, or herb they farm to a general store? Surely not, considering they'd loose more than 500% or more of what they could be making. Do you honestly think there are farms full of gold trees they run around and pick from?
They sell all of the farmed items to other players, who then take the gold they have made from other players and buy other items from other players.
No facts here, but I'm sure if you calculated all the gold lost into the runescape abyss from drops, pks, and other things causing cash to be lost from disappearing on the ground and what not, that this would even out what little gold has actually been created from things like general store, loot share, etc.
You WILL find a good bit of all hosts of dicing clans make more than 200m a day, and you WILL also find that a good bit of all hosts of dicing clans sell gold. This isn't formed out of air, this is from mostly other players who have 1-20m sitting around and dice it all and lose it all staking. Thus all these thousands of players who have little cash stacks just keep giving gold to other people with large cash stacks, then what do you do when you have all the gold you need, then more?
If gp was .10 per mill this would make items in rs inflate by x5 as it is
And this, this is more of just and opinion, but I think the reason party hats have doubled/tripled/quadrupled, or whatever the case may be, in price is because the price of gold is dropping. Now what would cause that? Why would the RWT price of gold affect the in-game price of an item? Probably because party hats are a place holder for cash, seeing as there is a cash stack max, you have to have something hold the place of your other cash. So when gold sellers see that gold is going downhill in price, they can raise the price of party hats to make up for money loss?
