I really do love the shop idea, I reckon that could be fun and more games could be hosted for prizes such as points instead of worrying about gathering RSGP like the lotteries.

 

do you know if vb has any thing that could support this? i think its a nifty idea.

 

Super cool idea that allows members to get miniranks without spam forum participation and gives incentive to activity. I like.

The rate of points would have to be carefully implemented to prevent people from obtaining a shit tonne of them rapidly but I think it's a good idea.

I wouldn't want to see someone or a group of people obtain all the buyable mini ranks within a month or something. They'd have to take a few months to obtain so the whole set would take years.

Limit people on points per day to 1k or something and have the average mini rank costing 100k+.
You could also increase donators to 1.2k ($5) 1.5k ($25) and so on which will also give people more incentive to donate.

I think it's a great idea I can see the mods having a lot of work to do when it first starts out... But like you said... More mod score!

Sounds like something fun that could be added pretty easily, I support for it being put in.

I think it'd have to be really carefully watched to make sure it wasn't too easy or too hard or else it wouldn't be too much fun.

 

No I didn't mean like that. I mean an increase in daily points you can earn. For example a none donator could earn 1000 points a day maximum, a $5 donator 1200, a $25 donator 1500 and so on..


Also, IDB.. I think the Sythe currency means like trading with Sythe currency, as in I'll buy your rs account for 20 Sythe coins or something like that.

I believe Moh is referring to a new mini rank system in which the more active you are, the points you earn. You can only use those points to buy mini ranks and nothing else.

1000 and 1200 sounds like loads of points. Something smaller like 1 point per 50 posts, 1 point per $ donated, 1 point per hour spent online, 5 points for an approved suggestion.. then we could award say, 100 points as prizes for competitions etc.

A mini-rank could cost 150 points/200 points for tradeable/non-tradeable. That way, they take a while to obtain and not everyone ends up with one.

Not sure about how the whole dice thing would work, but sure.

 

I like this idea. As OP says, this could also be used for future games sythe makes (kingdoms, rsps etc.) and also for prizes for cdt events. I don't like the idea of having a limit per day, but donors getting more points for donating sounds pretty good. Also, I wouldn't give points per donor rank achieved, I'd give a limited amount of points per $5 donated, for example if someone donates $5, they get 100 points, for donating another $5 they get another 100 points and so on. If they donate $25 at once, they would get 550 points instead as they are donating more at a time and so on.
