Why don't we use a VBulliten Feedback Plugin such as iTrader etc?

Ohh right, yeah of course. If you really wanted feed back you could contact the people in the vouch thread And ask them to leave feedback on your iTrader page.

But on the other hand, it will be hard for the mods to spot the fake ones etc.

Yeah, but I've got a problem with probably 25% of my vouches being banned, and a lot more being inactive, that's like 200 vouches I'd lose. Sythe's gone too far to turn back.

You could link to your old threads. I'd say that after six months, everyone would be fine with the new system. We'd look more professional.

I believe as someone already mentioned it prevents the excuse of something like 'Well he had 20 positive feedback' and that 20 positive feedback is fairly irrelevant if it is something like free skilling on a nothing account. People are, in general, stupid and big numbers look better. Also it is much too late to do this now. There are people with THOUSANDS of vouches that would be losing out on all that hard work.

A slight idea to how you could implement current vouches into the iTrader system - you could have an "iTrader Administrator" who monitors the iTrader system and when a user wishes to convert their current vouches over, the iTrader Administrator could find their vouches and convert them over.

Please tell me who has the time to move over 50,000 vouches over. That's a rough estimate, I know of many users with 300+, and all the 100+'s add up.

I agree with this. Although the current system has been in place for a long time, a new one is definitely overdue. Large sellers would be able to accumulate a large amount of feedback as normal, and wouldn't be affected as long as they displayed their old vouches.

where it displays the feedback, you could have a link where the user can direct them to their original vouch thread? in which they could edit in the edit profile or smth...

and possibly... it counts the amount of posts on that thread and counts it in? sorta ... fuq knows :p
i'm neutral about this suggestion though. ^_^
people saying new users may get confused i doubt it...
you could inform them in that newcomer message you're going to send to newly registered? plus most of the newcomers probably use a forum with a feedback system like this already in place.

read over what i wrote and it doesn't make sense to me now >_<

People already look at the number of vouches someone has. It's the same thing.

As for transferring over, once again a link solves that issue. Provide them with a number, it's easy.

Very few users have all of their vouches in their vouch thread, sometimes they have them on gold threads mming threads etc, they just quote them all on vouch thread, so the counting posts theory wouldn't work.

• Waste of time/Better things for Staff to do
It’s a VBulliten plugin; there is hardly any work to be done (once/if Sythe’s VBulliten version is updated to a compatible version). The plugin is already created and developed by someone else, all you need to do is download and install the plugin, and it’s ready to go. As I’ve said before Sythe is first and foremost a virtual market, it baffles me that this plugin isn’t one of their top priorities, it’s something any market based VBulliten forum should have standard. Tell me some other upgrades/changes that should be implemented instead?

• If it aint broke don’t fix it/Our current system works fine
A very close minded argument in this case, and not even a real reason to not implement it.
It’s like someone with a non-smartphone arguing against a smartphone.
As stated before by myself and many others, the system we have now is primitive and tedious. The feedback system is easier to use and better in every way. It does what the current vouch system does with less effort on both users’ ends, and organizes them all neatly.

• Transferring Current Vouches/Too Late
Things change. It’s a fact of life. No one’s old vouches will just disappear and be worthless. Everyone is still free to link to/show off their old vouch threads as they please and they will still mean just as much as they did before. For the people it really matters for ,those who do a large volume of sales, they can easily build back their vouches within a short matter of time.

• Easier to remove bad vouch than bad feedback/Faking Feedback
Not true at all. In both cases you either report the post/feedback, a thread is made in the moderator section, and they take the appropriate steps to remove it. The process is pretty much identical. Vouched and feedback are both just as easily faked as one another.

Tried to cover all of your points there.
If you'd like me to retort to a specific point you've made that I haven't covered yet please let me know in your post.

Most of these points are just laziness or fear for change, none show how the current 'system' of copying/pasting/numbering/disorganization is superior to a system such as iTrader.
Feel free to convince me otherwise!

It's the people that have gone inactive in the market it'd hurt. People like septicon.

My thoughts are totally echoed in all the posts you made. I can see why this would be a pain in the ass for some people though, especially those who have masses of vouches already. With a little thought and perhaps some customization of the plugin, I think it'd be pretty sweet.

Perhaps you can propose it to Matthew/Richard and see what they say?

It's worth noting: people can opt out. Simply tell your customers to post a vouch and leave the iTrader system at zero.

I've actually thought about this, and if we could add all our previous vouches and then make it so we can't anymore, if personally like this. There should be a section for vouches from staff/OMM/ex-staff

I highly doubt there would be a way to collate and add all our current existing vouches into the iTrader plugin. The only plausible thing I can see being done, are people linking others to their vouches pre iTrader. Anyway, I don't know much about VB/plugins so won't say much more.

If we couldn't it'd be stupid to have it, as some members could get itrader at the same rate as let's say king tijn, but he has over 1k vouches, which newcomers would call fake and refuse to believe. As long as the vouches system works, there should be no problem. Itrader looks nice and might be more efficient slightly, but it's got disadvantages. People could leave negative feedback as hate, then it'd need mods to remove it, with negative vouches you can reply to them with 'proof' etc, and it'll help especially if they're fake, just made to hinder your sales with no actual scam.

There are shops on Sythe that provide terrible service. That will be noted in the new system. iTrader would make them more accountable and a better business. If someone doesn't provide you gold for 24 hours and they promised 15, negative (and prominent) feedback should be allowed.

^ but if someone provides negative feedback just because? and then that's not really what happened is the feedback going to be removable?

Of course it could be removable. Ebay allows sellers to contest feedback they deem unfair and we could do it as well through the report button. To continue with my example, the seller could provide attempted communication/delivery with the buyer. However, the majority of negative feedback is valid and fair. If customers see delivery was attempted, they understand and usually wouldn't provide negative feedback. Especially considering a lot of people have had to deal with Chinese websites.
