Itrader to reduce scamming and vouch system!

The system we have now gets abused, so why not give iTrader a go?

 

Do you know HOW many people abuse the vouch "system?" A lot of new comers are getting like 25+ vouches when only like 1 or 2 are real.

I think iTrader should be given a chance, just give it a week or two and see how it goes. If it gets abused entirely then take it away, if only one or two people do it thats not bad considering we have 50,000+ ACTIVE other members. (Other 50,000 are barely active.)

 

Like stated before to all of you who think there are many flaws in iTrader, how many flaws are there in the vouching system? I really think this should be considered. Also, I don't know what it's called, or how it's configured, but it's used at markeedragon.com. Everyone is able to rate each other on a scale of 1-5, but only trusted members, mms, mods, etc are only able to leave feedback.

 

i think there'll be more trouble than its worth in implementing this idea. Does everyone have to install it on their computer? Coz if they did then i think a lot of people would just be like "gf'ed".

iTrader fails... A scammer wants a quick bit of money... Let's make 50 accounts quickly give them points or w/e they are and woo, they're 'trustable'. People will just look at the number and think "hey yeah lets buy from him lols"

Maybe if half of the Sythe population weren't as stupid as they were it could work, but sadly some people think they are going to have to install things onto their computers so a website can use a vBulletin add on. Woo for them...

Good Idea mate. I think with any system it will be abused but will definately reduce the risk of scammers. Good job!

I support vouch system, not itrader.

 

Thing about the vouch system is that it encourages people to actually check out the details of the trades being done. With iTrader, all the users see initially is a number. They need to do some digging to actually see what the trades were, and when / with who they were done. I think that the iTrader and vouch systems are virtually the same otherwise. If you are foolish enough to trust a bunch of fake vouches without checking up on them, you'll also be stupid enough to trust a high iTrader number, which ranks a 500M trade and a 50k trade as the same thing number-wise.

There is no system that will be able to protect people from their own stupidity. Users need to realize that any system implemented is simply there as a tool, not as an end all and be all.
