Watching it right now. I'm on the part about Christianity (the roman story). So far I like it.

After watching that movie I was still able to stay with my religious beliefs, but I do now believe that the government is behind most of the war. Best movie I've ever seen, they provide so much evidence that if you don't believe the government is bad, then you didn't understand the movie.

I used to defend a lot of this movie back in the day but now I've learned a lot of truths and come to lose my faith in god however I will say that they are wrong about a lot of their attacks on christianity in that they are basically claiming that christians made up all of the stuff about jesus and what not but really they took it from the Jews which has the longest known religion that still exists. The government issues are unfortunately true and their control is just sickening. Personally I found it to be kind of a mockery of what could have been an extremely well put together film if they had taken a little bit more time researching their information on the religious points because any teenager who has taken religion classes all their life is capable of figuring out and defending their religious beliefs from this movie but other than that it was very well done proving that all religions have similar if not the exact same basic foundations.

the jewish religion is not the oldest religion. there are many others before the jews were even in existence ie: egyptian religion, hinduism and many other pagan religions. Hinduism is still a practicing religion of today also. In fact much of the torah which is the jewish is borrowed as many other religions which the movie was right to point out such as the gigamesh and noah similarities. In the end religion is a means of explaining wat man cannot explain. we as egotistic creatures can not stand knowing what is unkown to us such as death or immortality. ie: since we are unable to grasp the depth of immortality we curse in claiming that it would suck and we would miss all our family and so forth. Although many curse it many also desire immortality and wat it would bring. death is the same.

Not everything he say's is true..
Don't believe all of it because some of the facts do not check out.
In my opinion i Like some of his views . they are different. Just others aren't so true .

Actually, the Torah is not borrowed. Many documents such as the Koran which have undeniable similarities are taken directly from the Torah. Muhammad basically took the Torah, and revised it in a way that would be less demanding. He then tried to make the Jews turn to this "type" of Judaism, but did not suceed. After this he nursed a deep hatred towards the Jews, and changed the Koran in several aspects to preach a hatred towards the Jews.

You know there is no proof Jesus of Nazareth even lived correct? And the oldest known texts of a religion are from Hinduism, not Judaism, by a good 500 years.

But back on topic. Just found Zeitgeist eh? Good collaboration of fallacies that we don't see without guidance. My personal favorite part is about the Central Bank, and the never-ending debt my country is in. Just shows how a group of wealthy men can set up the most fallacious creation in the history of the world for their own benefit. Sad really.

Have fun with your new found knowledge, but know a lot of the Christianity part is speculation, even though I myself am an atheist.

Although skeptical there is the documentary on the history channel where they found a tomb of almost all of "jesus'" brothers and a mary and joseph all burried in the same spot, however there is absolutley no denying the fact that there was a Jesus of Nazareth, seeing as how jesus was one of the most common hebrew names available. And yes I know that the jewish religion is not the oldest but the jews have outnumbered many of their captors and many outsiders have married into their culture, it is almost ludicrous to tell anyone that their religion didn't spill into the people they surrounded. After all many times jews themselves started believing and worship other gods in order to be like everyone else. Of course you would have to buy into believing that every civilization was centered in a close area for a long enough period of time for a few religions to pop up. Let's not forget that just because something was written before another that it was created first. Considering that all civilization stems from the same roots and that jews are generally a larger mass of people in almost all of history its easy to see them being the dominant religious force as well :P

Just a correction, the name Jesus is not a Jewish name. His real name was Joshua. (Yehoshua in Hebrew)

I know but when you get it all translated its basically the same thing to us as it would have been to them :P I mean really though when writing the name Yehoshua there are no vowels, only consonants lol its very interesting if you ask me :)

Lol seriously you sound like you lived while Muhammed did. Do you have any source that prooves what you are saying is true about that Muhammed took the Torah and made it less demanding? Seriously you dont know anything about Muhammed or else you would have known that he couldn't read, that makes him unable to have taken anything from the Torah. Dont talk about something that you know nothing about.

This is completely false. Assuming we have the believe the sources about Muhammed he at first was a "Jew Friend", that changed when some Jews who at first funded his wars betrayed him. Then he became angry at them.
Second of all the Islam tries to bring to bring the belief that the Jews and Christians practise to it's roots. And please tell me where in the Qu'ran hatred is preached towards the Jews?
