Youtube doesn't use Java, it uses Flash.

but i don't think its flash, even an old computer can run the lowest flash, so its backwards compatible
maybe?!? just maybe, you have a firewall that is blocking it?

No offense or anything... but you have no clue what you're talking about...
Youtube is on a web page meaning the connection goes through the same port as sythe (most likely port 80) and is therefore not going to be blocked, so it's definitely not a firewall. Flash is not completely backwards compatible, that's why they always recommend getting the latest version. If you go to youtube without Flash installed, it will tell you to go to Adobe's website to download flash.

What i was talking about is that, i used my 2000 computer, and it worked fine on that computer, and i haven't updated it in a long time. Also, im talking about like ad-blockers that come in firewalls, you would be surprised how high people turn those suckers up =]

You do have a valid point there about the ad-blockers (even though they usually don't come in firewalls). But if you're using any ad-blockers, try turning them off.

My ff can do this sometimes, you may need a better internet connection, or have a wrong setting set on ie/ff settings.

OK, first make sure you have all the right plugins.
Then make sure your internet is running at the correct speed.
The, if you are using firefox, go into profiles, and delete them all, then make a fresh profile.

That should work, good luck.
