Youtube Layout CnC

This is the first youtube layout I've ever done and I would like some critisicm from multiple people (if this is in the wrong place please move it ).

I made this for Solkrieg, also known as Chuck Norris the Powerbot Administrator, for his youtube channel.

I did this completely for free as a way to gain experience. All the information I was given was the colour scheme he wanted, the rest I made by myself.

Everything here is made by me with Pentool (except for the lighting/boombox)

Please give me a critique!

 

There is something that I can't quite put my finger on, but it is off. The piece is a too chaotic I believe and the green throws off the piece; it doesn't really go with the it. The typography could use some work, the font on the left doesn't match and the text on the right is pretty basic and kind of ugly. Not a terrible piece though.

 

Well with the Dubstep typography, I wanted to get the mellow sort of feeling, relaxed, basically feelings that you should hear while listening to such a piece of music.

Now that I think about it, the Green is a bit disturbing, I may try purple or just stick with blue, thanks!

 

Looks nice, But i don't really like that type of blue.

 

It's okay, tho the text colouring really doesn't fit, the green hurts my eyes on the dark-blue BG, I do suggest you to use some lightning in there to make it less static, as currently it looks kinda harsh..

 

Sometimes less is more. I think there is too much lightning effect, and the shade of dark blue is purply/blue, not my cup of tea. Otherwise thats quite nice

I have to agree with what others said; navy blue/white/black just doesn't work well on the eyes I think. I would have used something instead of the dark blue at least, green would work well with black (think mw2 logo type colours).

Would you consider doing mine for RSGP?

 

I would go for a major color change, Make the entire thing more metallic and go for a medium-dark green instead of this blue.
Also, simplify the whole thing. I thing the lightning should go, and whatever render you have up top should go, and you should focus more on making the BG more sytlized rather than just a straight color
