We see everyday , all day , all night. Its the media , what it does can effect someones life with contrast.

Media can do anything to anyone.

Heres an example of a media influence:
    Michael Jackson's raping case:
he was accused of raping kids or molesting , even with no evidence or proof , nothing just accusing but still why do people believe he did?
    MEDIA INFLUENCE.

What do you think of this?

Only accept news from reliable sources and seek extra references if it seems improbable.

What are you on about with Michael Jackson?
The boy accusing him or molestation described abnormal coloration on Michael Jackson's penis, and this discoloration was confirmed by the police. Now how did the child know that unless Jackson was showing him his penis?

Also, the media influences our lives to the extent that we allow it to. They aren't forcing any information on us, and we accept only what we choose to accept.

Don't read tabloid rubbish, and actually think about what you're being told instead of blindly accepting it.

    Problem solved.

The boy failed the lie detector test.

Media typically influence the ones who don't look up more on the storys they hear about.

I believe if some people aren't educated on a certain topic, when it appears in the media, they will believe it. For example, U.S soldiers fighting in the middle east. Most people do NOT understand what soldiers go through, and the hard choices they make. Although that's a different topic.

    A valuable piece of wisdom:

    "People are people... just people."

Yes, there is a conspiracy to create a world controlled by lies, deceit, and manipulation. And yes, there are people who control the strings to the system. And yes, we're all pawns in a game of chess.

But remember, we're pawns to other people. The same psychological faults that they use to control us can be reversed and used to control them.

The media is an essential component of living in this world, it is required. However, how you interpret the information you gain, how you use it, what you do with it... etc... is all up to you. The only way the Media controls people is when people choose to be controlled, and you'd be surprised at how many people choose to be controlled. Even those who avoid it, are open to it.

    :p.

Typical Arrogance is what causes these influences. Seeing that 90% of Americans are arrogant, most of them are succumbed into what they're told.

It influences everyone unless you are Amish, American Indian or part of some tribe in the middle of the jungle in South Africa.
It helps shape us into who we are and influences us to what we want to be.

Probably the biggest influence the media makes out is muslim people and people from the middle east associated with suicide bombings, that's probably the biggest one.

Yeah that proves everything  ! Don't you think that the boy could've assumed that because of the disorder Michael had? Besides, like someone else said, he failed the freakin lie detector.

Where did you pull that from? How the hell do you define who is arrogant and who is not?

Definitely affects our views towards a certain subject/matter. The media can choose to either portray the event/person in a positive or negative light. And its quite hard to sift through all that bias to find the facts.

Another reason is that most of us rely on the media to keep up updated.

I stopped watching television and reading newspapers a long time ago, so those forms of media do not affect me. I still use the internet a great deal, but spend most of that time doing stuff for my own entertainment. I hardly read the news on the internet at all, but I do keep check on major events every now and then, and don't pay attention to most worthless news stories, which even those watching will forget soon enough.

Most people whose opinions are shaped by the media are idiots anyways, so who cares.

Every time there was a chance, the media would jump on Michael Jackson. He was the biggest target in the world. Michael Jackson is innocent. Even on June 13, when he was found not guilty on all charges, the media still made other people think he was guilty. I think it's what killed Michael. Michael expressed his pain through songs like 'Leave Me Alone', 'They Don't Care About Us', etc;. I was there outside court on the day of his acquittal. It was wild, everyone was cheering. You have to have actually experienced the environment there to ever understand it. When Michael came out of court, I smiled at him, he smiled back at me but I saw depression and sadness in his eyes. I don't think Michael knew he was found not guilty cause his expression was anything but happiness.

I still can't believe people read and believe the shit in newspapers. They write and publish bad news about celebrities. They don't care if it's true or false. As long as it's something bad, they publish it because that's what sells. Good news to them doesn't sell.

My heart goes out to Michael

Actually, the boy got all the descriptions about his body right EXCEPT for the fact that his penis was circumcised.

    Which makes sense.

Michael and the boy oftenly went swimming together in his neverland ranch. The boy could have any time seen his body.

But the boy didn't see his penis. Which is why he got everything right EXCEPT for the fact that his penis was circumcised.

And the picture of Michael's penis the boy drew doesn't even fucking look like a penis.

If you want to find out more about the truth, read 'Michael Jackson Conspiracy' by Aphrodite Jones.

    Your thoughts on MEDIA INFLUENCE.

The media brainwashes people in order to get people to do things by using really strategic methods and is probably controlled by the government. Like the news, and many other things, they make a bigger deal of some things than they already are, or encourage things that are unnecessary, I remember in the news they always said that a type of food (I forgot what type it was) helped improve the immune system or some shit, I don't even remember, and in a few months, they said it doesn't and said another type of food is good for the SAME thing, basically making people buy stuff in order for the food business to profit of some things they just cannot sell, and notice the only things that are "healthy" for you are usually the things that do not sell and you just see rotting away in a foods market. Keep in mind this is only one thing that media does to influence other people, there are a LOT more, such as games, but I wont get into that since everyone will be calling me a hater and all this other bullshit, and plus I got other things to do, but yeah thats just my $0.02 about the media.
