Your opinion on skateboarding?

I don't mind skaters at all, I think it's an interesting hobby and if they find it fun, go for it. I personally never really got going with skating, I mean I can do a pretty good ollie but that's about it. I think it'd be fun though, I might try it sometime

 

Well, my general opinion is that it's all good I suppose. I do think that it's becoming too popular and causing many people to claim to be skateboarders. I personally can't skate for a damn, but I wont go around saying I can, there would be no point.

The media is too involved in this area, causing many little groups of "posers" to sprout up. Too many false subcultures forming from it though. But if you genuinely like to skate, more power to you, but must you talk about it 24/7? Sure, you did some kick flip 360 240 90 with a side stroke, doesn't mean you say it to everyone you meet...

 

I think it's a neat thing to do and cool,

but I really hate it when the skater kids try to act all cool and tough and gangster and all. Like, just enjoy your hobby and stop trying to be bad ass. We don't care if you can ollie or w/e, just keep us out of it.

We recently had a large skatepark built right in front of our school.. ever since 3 months it has been built, 2 people have died so far- because of those wannabe gangsters.

I think skatebording is great, but don't get cocky..

 

Wow, 2 deaths? That's pretty insane. I agree completely though.

 

I couldn't skateboard if my life depended on it, but the skateboard kids where I live normally smoke a lot of pot and are always getting in trouble with the police, but just because they smoke pot and get in trouble with the cops for trespassing and other shit like that doesn't make them bad people, they're just trying to enjoy life.
