Few questions for us to be able to help you.
    - country? US/UK/Aus/EU etc makes a lot of difference because we can't recommend a build.
    - Budget?
    - Specs you are looking for?

    etc etc.

Ohh I am from the UK and budget is around £300. Also I would like to run a couple bots on it so around 4GB of RAM would be minimum.

Have a bit of fun with that link :)
it's slightly over budget, but with a little bit of saving here and there you might be able to afford it.

I have no idea whether or not that link is a legitimate business and will not rob your money. Have a look around before you try and buy from them.

If you expect to play any modern games on higher than low-medium settings you're going to need to up your budget fairly substantially.

Like Blupig said, your best bet is to start saving now.. good computers are best built by yourself and can cost a pretty penny, but definitely worth throwing money into if you spend lot's of time on one.

Building a PC is not as hard as many people say.. Literally its putting things into slots and sockets... Match up the dot on the cpu with the dot on the socket, ram and pci cards have notches in them which correspond with the notches in the slot...

    To the original poster:

I converted your price point into USD so I could better work with the budget, however the parts should still come within your range over there in the UK.

You are looking to run a few bots on there (depends on what a few means, gold farmer or casual bitter haha?) so I'm going to assume that you mean roughly 4 tops. Allocating 2GB of Ram per bot is more than any VPS will provide.

RAM, 8GB. 8GB is very inexpensive for building a gaming pc and will only take two of the four RAM slots in the MOBO, that way you can always expand to 16GB later.

As for a cpu, more cores the better. To start for budget, I would suggest no lower than quad core, 8 core would be obviously the best. AMD or Intel? Its up to you, I prefer AMD as there is a more gaming focused company there. Intel is mostly consumer prebuilt pc's and mac while AMD tries to focus on high end prebuilt pc's and gaming alternatives. (Plus they don't overcharge you like Intel).

PSU, don't skimp here having a little extra power is better than finding out you don't have enough. Start with a 700W - an 800W psu (they aren't expensive if you don't get a modular one. Problem will be the extra cables. Modular will allow you to remove cables which you do not need).

HDD, 1TB minimum. Most people try to convince towards a starting point of 500GB and expanding from there, however I personally know how fast a hard drive can fill up when you have games installed. 1TB isn't expensive now so that should be easily within budget.

GPU (Graphics Card). Now you may not think that it will affect the bots but it will. Because you will have the bots open on the screen while they work, this may cause your gpu to lag, potentially over heat, and crash the computer. However decent ones will support well over 4 bots which I'm assuming is your desired number. Now decide: AMD or Nvidia?

AMD has the benefit of being the go to graphics for consoles. They have just began a campaign to do away with directX and OpenGL, replacing it with their new Mantle graphics support. This will allow for more realistic sound quality, less draw on the gpu, and better gaming response.

Nvidia has the benefit of options.... With so many different manufacturers of Nvidia cards, you can get a very high end card for cheap. Their support, from my experience, depends on your issue. Turns out my old Nvidia card didn't like my system and would crash the drivers. Tried 3 different cards before going to AMD and never had the issue again.

Graphics card is totally up to you, doesn't really matter which brand so long as it can handle what you need it to handle. I'll give you two options from both sides, as high end as possible.

Motherboard, again AMD or Intel? The type of CPU the motherboard can support depends on the cpu you chose from above... The MOBO doesn't really affect the performance... It just houses all the components and allows them to call upon each other to function. That being said, you do want a durable one meant for gaming. The amount of stress that will be provided to the board will be much greater than a standard computer. Back in 2001 Runescape could be run on a run of the mill computer, now you are going to need something a little more beefier...

Case: This is purely aesthetic... Do you want to have a box or a glowing monster on side your desk? Make sure that the case fits the type of motherboard you purchased (most of which will be ATX style). These can range from $15 to $150 depending on their features....

I will be excluding keyboard, monitors, and the mouse because those included in the price would completely drive the quality of your build down. Monitors are expensive and would make you have to lose another $100+ off the main components.

ANYWAY! Here is a small list of what I've found here in the USA that would fit your budget. I won't provide links in the forum but if you would like some you can pm me.

    My suggested AMD Graphics Build:

    -AMD FX-8320 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.0GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W 8-Core Desktop Processor FD8320FRHKBOX
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
    Nvidia Graphics Build:
    -ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 USB 3.0 HDMI uATX AMD Motherboard
    -HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model KHX18C10K2/8
    -Western Digital WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive, Blue - OEM
    -SAPPHIRE 100366-2L Radeon R7 260X 2GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Video Card
    -APEVIA ATX-CB700W 700W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply - OEM
-DIYPC FM08-Blue Black USB 3.0 ATX / Micro ATX Mid Tower Computer Case with 120mm Blue

This comes out to $500 US which is the equivalent of 300GBP. You can mix and match components, however I believe that having a monster 8 core computer like that would be a fantastic starting point.

    Hey buddy,

For your budget I can give you a built that will run quite a few bots. But you wouldn't be able to do a lot of gaming. nor would you have a lot of storage/fast opperating system.

    Here's an example built:

Thanks , upon some research I've managed to find something on ebay with the specs I want. Also it's within my price budget.
