    what do you mean? I just wanted to make sure that he had not in fact received anything.

    And in the context I used it, necesitaba is ambigious and could refer to singular first or third person, so common way to solve it is put the pronoun after the conjugated verb. Typically you dont use it in spoken language, but just wanted to be precise lol

    could vary regionally, in argentina (last spanish speaking country I was in) they said tomar. although sacar sounds like it would make more sense.
