Johng still owes my customer $12. Why, you ask, does he owe my customer $12? Let me tell you!

When Ooga hacked into our Live Chat, he had my customers send him money. But... Ooga had no Paypal account. So, you ask, how did Ooga accept money from his victims?

Easy!

He simply had Johng collect payments for him using his Paypal! Ooga, who was hacking people's Skypes / websites left and right, had his buddy Johng collect all the stolen money on his behalf! And Johng did absolutely nothing to protect any of these people. He assisted a criminal in filtering funds through his Paypal account. Johng shouldn't be asking for a pardon from Sythe, he should be asking for a pardon from the US Government.

I don't care how big the amounts are, he money laundered for a known criminal. You guys need to stop letting this kid suck all of your dicks and realize he's just as bad as Ooga. He let Ooga use his Paypal account to scam countless people, and refunded a grand total of... ZERO OF THEM!

So go ahead and have your staff poll. This guy deliberately, overtly assisted someone in blatant criminal activity, and earned money from it. You want to pardon John? How about asking my customer to pardon him, since it's his money that he stole, and made 0 effort to pay it back.

This site's staff need to stop the popularity contests. Criminals should not be welcome back.

That is actually a very good point Syed. How does assisting a criminal get you five supports but someone who has done a lot for the community has a bad attitude doesn't get you 5 supports.

 

If you haven't noticed the pardon system on here is terrible, we have admins supporting friends, moderators following like sheep, no time taken to research before voting and admins thinking they have the sole ability to deny a pardon when the rules say they can't. Honestly this type of behaviour only promotes other people to break rules.

 

And now you guys see why back in the day I vetoed so many pardons. This would have been a no brainer veto.

To avoid personal grudges by admins playing a factor in the voting process, but honestly that didn't change anything. Firez why don't you veto it anyways? It's not like the rule stopped n4n0 from doing it.

 

Well seeing as the drama and harassment they caused was directed and targeted at Ryan it pretty much makes sense for him to decide if X user in question can return or not. Those people should be lucky they are even eligible to attempt a pardon.

 

Well, he isn't an admin currently. Only Global thought Veto was only Admins.

 

We only have 1 active admin so the veto process is pretty much worthless right now.

 

Not really, half the people who returned from Finn's bans weren't pardoned by finn and if it was up to finn none of them would have returned. Hattez wasn't even involved with n4n0 all he did was flame him which isn't a permanent ban. He leaked trin's private info and the only reason the 1 month changed to a perm is because she's placed on a pedestal above everyone else. If someone leaked my personal info I guarantee they wouldn't see a permanent ban even if they flamed staff 2 days earlier.

 

Roary is active and Ryan occasionally. But being the fact Roary supported John that pretty much leaves a veto out of the question.

 

Pardon voting should be anonymous.

 

No it shouldn't, staff who make terrible decisions should be publicly known - Dunno why this site is so focused on sweeping everything under the rug and then when people ask, saying it's "behind the scenes".

Also, I think JohnG filtered way more than $12 total, probably over a thousand dollars all said and done, tbh. If anybody thought to ask for his PP history, I bet you'd probably see that. He's trying to underplay his "association" so he can get unbanned.

 

I do believe people can change but when you're helping a known hacker and scammer who has scammed hundreds of people you're doing it for the money and hoping you don't get caught.

 

I could be wrong but what I'm thinking he was suggesting was that so staff can't see each others decision and forces there to be no bandwagon. Each staff would have to make their own decisions.

Pardons COULD be done through the poll system if they so chose.

 

I think with all of this stuff coming to a head we are seeing the beginning stages of the death throes of a community. Finn was a fucking faggot and caused a lot of drama, but not nearly as much and with such great impact as what has occurred in the last 6 months on this site. JohnG is a faggot and shouldn't be allowed back, but as many others have said there are numerous members banned at the end of last year that all sat around in a chat and passed images around that someone had gotten their hands on. None of it would have happened if there hadn't been a spree of blatant and flagrant power abuse.

 

Why aren't pardons a community poll vote anyway? Shouldn't we be able to decide who we want back and who we don't.
