Explanation of the trade: Paid $1,000 for an osrs account. Ad originally said the OG email would come with the account, it didn’t. The “recovery information” provided did not suffice to recover the account as I tried a recovery test and it locked it. I requested xxdarkzxx123 to unlock the account or refund me. He unlocked the account and didn’t tell me, I found out a few days later by checking high scores. I then did a password reset and it said the password went to the account’s registered email (no longer mine). He also changed the name of the RSN. Obviously, he's attempting to scam.

Amount scammed: $1,000.

How they scammed: xxdarkzxx123 recovered the account, didn’t respond when asked for a refund or password.


Trade took place on Sythe along with a refund request with no response. Has not responded on Sythe or Discord when approached for recovery information or refund.

xxdarkzxx123 then can you please explain who has access to the account, because I most certainly do not. this can easily be resolved with either providing legitimate recovery details so I can recover the account myself or a refund. this wouldn't seem shady if it weren't 10 days later and if there was better communication on discord or here.

 

Either way, you're responsible for 1) getting your customer access to the account he bought; or 2) a full refund, if you can't do that.

 

I have provided all necessary recovery details,I haven’t touched the recovery page and haven’t recovered anything.Why there is name change I could ask you aswell.I have no issues helping whatsoever but you got all the details.What if you did the following?recovered,lied,asking for a refund?I have nothing to add here.Let’s let sythe staff tell how this need to go.

In this case im interested,how you Sythe staff members can make people choose 2 situations,either its pay back or recover.What can stop me from buying an account,making it locked,recovering,asking for refund to possibly receive it from a sythe member who would potentially pay it back due to their age here and vouches?

 

I used all the information you provided and I was denied. I requested more recovery information from you to unlock the account and you never sent me anything. The fact that you cannot or choose not to unlock it means you're either not the original owner or you're scamming.

Jagex responds to me in a few hours when I request a recovery of my accounts and it's a simple process most of the time. Sythe staff members did not choose the 2 situations, you did, in your terms of service that we agreed upon. Literally says if you cannot recover the account that a full refund is in order.

 

And I have not recovered... I wouldn't be here wasting my time on this post if I did... I'm always available on Discord or for a PM on here and I've yet to hear from you at all. If the account isn't recovered, then I would like a refund. Plain and simple...

 

@xxdarkzxx123 will remain DNT'd and has been banned for 3 months for failing to help you with this. He can restore access to you in order to return to Sythe.
