XP rates on Old Servers

They're just doing some market research. No problems there.

They better accelerate the xp rates, I don't have time to level up accounts anymore.

I have come to accept that Jagex will ruin everything they ever do.

I no longer have any input on situations like these :(

Why must the majority of people hate on Jagex?

They are trying to improve the game to what they think is right. They are bringing back old RS FFS, yet there are still people crying about how much they hate jagex. If you hate them, don't play RS. Period.

Xp rates need to stay at the normal xp rates. It's what makes Runescape = Runescape.

I'd only be OK with it up to a certain point. Like, maybe a 1.2-1.4x rate, but definitely not double exp 24/7. It'd still feel close to the same, only ever so slightly faster.

EXP rates being raised would also fuck with the economy on a lot of skills, such as fletching, cooking, smithing, herblore, etc., since you'd need less materials to get more exp..

But of course, I'd like to see the return of random events more often.

They absolutely need an XP multiplier. People talk a big game right now, but do you remember how excruciating it was to level up in 2007? A 2-3x exp accelerator will go a long way in keeping people interested. Who really has time to start fresh and get 99's at the old rates?

The slower it is to level, the more enticing bots become. Just keep that in mind.

This may be true but they dont want the 2007 version to surpass the new one so if they dont keep a population no skin off jagexs nose they got money out of reloading up a backup.
I also believe that people who really want to stick around will and those who dont wont personally I think it sucks leveling slow but itd be nice to play a game with a purpose and not just a race for stats.

"I think we've got an overwhelming consensus that players don't want altered XP rates on the Old School servers.

Thanks everyone your feedback is very helpful and much appreciated."

Everyone on the form said no, they wont be doing this.

Excelerated XP for a limited of time would have been a good thing and would have helped in a big way to get the economy started. All these morons chasing nostalgia need to start thinking

Essentially yes but also jagex can hold double exp weekends and what not regardless of everyone whos acting like a divided community.

Xp rates need to stay at the normal xp rates. Otherwise, you'd have a bunch of people that have maxed mains, or maxed pures.. boosting the XP rates will destory the attention getter for the game of Runescape. Most people who want to invest their time and money into the game want to get a bigger/better return than others that haven't invested as much time/money into the game. If you were to boost XP rates, then everyone would be the same and no one would have an advantage in stats because everyone would want to get to maxed level and with the boost in XP rates everyone would now be able to get to maxed.

Also, the game of Runescape is an 'unbeatable' game as I like to call it. That's why it has so many players that keep returning to the game year after year. I alone have been play Runescape for over 6 years now and find it hard to not to return to such a game. If you make the game to easy then people will lose interest much faster.
At first people will love the XP rate boost, but then after they've beaten the game, and maxed out. Then what? Most of you will say go PK and own the wildy right? No, Wrong. The wildy will be filled with players that thought the same way you did and now are maxed just as you. You will then end up losing because then it will turn into a game of 'I have more friend's than you do'.. a fucking pissing contest.

What I am trying to say is that boosting the XP rates with be fun at first, but then after you realize about a 100K of other people thought the same thing as you and maxed their account you will losing interest.
Normal XP rates will suck at first, but after a couple of months of training your perfect account you will be one of a kind, and you will be able to own.

Also, another thing to think about, when you play Runescape what are you doing? Training your account. Once you max your account then you stop training your account because you can no longer advance in level. THEREFORE, you stop playing the game of Runescape as much. And that is something Jagex doesn't want.. Jagex will always keep XP rates normal. Actually I would be surprised if they cut them in half..

its a nono from me cant we have the old school grind...when u leveled up each timee you felt good.........ffs this wont be the same ffs it angers me.

They wont make it any different than it used to be.
1X Exp

It's good to seem Jagex actually taking it seriously, the main problem with 07 servers is its going to take time for people to level which is why they asked about the xp rates.

I think a lot of people forget how long it took to level and getting the supplies will certainly be harder then it is now.

Well I mean the dude got the whole thing rolling I mean it doesnt matter that jagex has been asking for money from us for the past couple years even more so than normal, but He is a well known runescape channel and mods do keep in touch with him since he supports the content they release he has to be on the cutting edge and they can help each other out. T o be honest just wait for the question and answer to come out to see if someone brings it up.
