but session directory shouldn't even be in use. Looks like xen is registering a preferentially used session save handler over the top of mine

xenforo isn't reporting certain errors.

seems like they've coded it in two separate styles

} catch (SeriousException $ex) { /* LOL OH WELL */ }

and:

} catch (MinorException $ex) { diediediedieidiediiedieidied(); /* LOL CANT HAVE THAT */}
