It said that I had been banned.. I was like huh :/ I dont have any RS accounts on this email and began trying some users of mine it could be

but then I log into an account I got banned back in 2008 (macroing major) and it has no offenses; I can re-login and choose a new outfit and username, it's stuck on the tutorial (which it wasn't before); but the account itself is fully playable again.

Nope. The account was "Cindi McCain" back in 2008 I got banned for Macroing cause I used some cheap-ass woodcutting bot. Got to about 60 WC and was banned.

Perhaps you've heard of John McCain? He's a senator from Arizona who ran for United States president against Barack Obama. His wife was "Cindi McCain" -- which is why I chose the name, and also how you know it was 2008 -- because that's when the election was.

Now, hopefully you remember the Nexus client? It was 3 years ago, son. It used to be similar to powerbot/rsbuddy, where users made scripts and uploaded them for others to use. We could use it every day of the week -- not just weekends.

Cindi got banned for using a script called "Willower" and "Yewer" -- I can't remember who created them though. However, I liked the name, and even have similarly-named accounts.

I've been checking back regularly and emailing Jagex often to try to -- not necessarily get the account unbanned -- but just the username reset so I could have it.

Today I log in, view my offenses, and there aren't any. It doesn't say "quashed" -- there simply aren't any.

I am able to log into the game, but I'm stuck on the new tutorial, having to choose a new outfit and a new name -- it's just like a new account.

The difference is the log-in name "Cindi McCain" was still banned as of a week ago, and is no longer. I had to choose a different name at creation though, as "Cindi McCain" is already taken -- even though it is the name I log-in with.

So yeah, fake-and-gay troll page or the proverbial "OP is a fag", but I did get unbanned -- and I know it was within the past week, cause I check regularly. =) =) =)


That said -- still don't click links in emails -- even if they're from @jagex.com.

anyway, I think the same, wtf how can you fall for a phisher. You say this once you are reading about it but damn, this slapped me in the face it was so legit.

Why would someone want to phish BANNED accounts........?

Saying your account is unbanned, then having people log on their BANNED accounts on the phisher.

Makes no fucking sense.

I got so lost in this thread- from him posting his account name is zezima to someone saying their account got unbanned but their whole account is rolled.
Don't know if i'm being trolled..
