[WTB] A CLEAN 3DIG (or a low 4dig)

I don't get this part. What's wrong for having say.. 0:0:888?

Its because Valve is slowly moving games across to SteamID3 IDs and I want to have a SteamID3 3 digit as well. The OTHER main part is that in Australia only the lower 3 digits show as 11th of September because of time zones. It turns 12th somewhere in the 500s.

If you are willing to pay in skins we can talk about a 3-digit.

Will happily pay in skins. Just need to make sure mobile authentication is now ready on my alt.

If you are sticking with PayPal, I doubt you will find anything remotely interesting or secure, as far as 3-digit IDs go.

I'm just keeping PayPal open because I've seen the odd joe popup with a 3 digit and not much rep and wouldn't trust him with something as permanent as BTC or skins in case he recovers (but then again I'm looking for POP included).

My advice is to buy a 4-digit without a community profile page set-up. Those are pretty easy to find and for less than $80.

1) A 3-digit can be hacked or recovered and re-sold. Problem is that the seller has a copy of the support ticket that he recovered the account with and he also knows the steam username. On top of that, he may have taken screenshot of accessing the account before or screenshot of him selling it to you. Now, that means that at any time he can disable your account. I don't mean restrict it. I mean disable it. So, forget about "proof of purchase" bs.

2) Buying a 3-digit from its original owner. Now, here's where it's even more risky. The account can be recovered even if you have the serial key from HL pack pretty easily. The proof of purchase you add has no meaning. And the worst you can do in case he recovers it is to create a support ticket, show proof that it was actually sold to you by its original/previous owner and the account gets disabled before you can blink.

There are a few 3-digits out there (even 1-digit), a 2-digit has also been recovered recently by a Russian with the most idiotic alias (I think you may guess who it is). It's not safe anymore so if you really want to go for it, I suggest you find an original owner that you can meet in person or at least know his personal information and pay a lot to relieve him off his steam ID.
Never ever buy a hacked one. Good luck.

It seems like he is the big brother of account security and investigates anything with an ID less than 4 just for the fun of it (even sold 3digs cost Valve Corp nothing). He has personally locked ~10 accounts of mine in the past

Hahahaha. So long-story short apparently CD keys and such are worthless and anything can serve as POP to fuck me over. Why would proof of being the recover get you disabled? You could pretend that the recovery email is no longer in your possession. How would that prove the account has been sold?
My question for you is; How does this apply to just 3digs and not ALL ACCOUNTS OUT THERE that have ever been sold. I guess people are more likely to recover a $300+ account or is Support way more trigger happy in disabling 3 digs on the slightest proof (or personal suspicions from Burton)??? Why is it the SteamID that makes this more likely and more severe.

How does "idiot russian" (*cough* Hus... *cough*) make the entire marketplace less safe? Couldn't I just NOT buy from him? And just out of interest how in the world would idiotic russian manage to recover a 2 digit in 2016. Does Support just love his broken English charm?

And from what I've seen that original owner half of the issue seems non-existent. Are there ANY out there? It seems every 2-5 digit SteamID has been recovered via. email or support (or whatever the Russians know about that we don't).

What is so special about 2013 that makes the difference? Did Steam have a lot less logs and security and features back then? and how could selling the account be proved.

Welp, they have "auto" system which logs events and report if something suspicious has been found.(Like if someone log in steam account with login [email protected] from strange ip, afaik they have whitelist of ips for these accounts but can't be sure).

Till 2010 they was removing FULLY games from Steam(So, if you removed HL1 CDKey before 2010 - you are golden boi). Meanwhile today there no way to remove FULLY games from Steam(even via support. Its same shit as if you will do it via help.steampowered.com and remove game here). You only hidding them from your library\account but its still in their db.
Till 2013 they was collect alot less logs and etc shit. So, basically nowdays is hard to keep your lowdigs w/o knowing BurtonJ about it. Its why I'm now stick to highdigs with unique numbers. Because I'm own everything from it(1st CDKey, Original Email). Ofc there always chance to find lowdigit with PoP for HL1 CDkey. I've sold 2-3 accounts(their range from 4 to 6 digit) with PoP for HL1 CDKey but they rare asf.

Also, forgot to mention that BurtonJ actually care about 2-3 digits meanwhile he doesn't gief a fuck about 4 digits(or rarely doing it).

Interesting. Very interesting. Its insane how much Valve has done to stop us. Seems almost like a waste of money and company time given they aren't missing out on us spending money on games at ALL if we were to buy a 3 digit SteamID with just HL1.
