    if your account gets locked and you try and recover it through steam support, they will almost always ask you for ownership of the 1st CDKey

    no, you can get unlocked by mail too just confirm original mail, that happened to me and i unlocked with og mail, plus this account have no key, hl pack was a gift from steam

    I hope you dont mind me posting but this has been proven wrong, apparently some kind of database update changed all retail activations an all accounts before ~2005 to "complimentary" so it looks like it was a gift but in fact it was not and there is very well a cdkey attached to it. Cheers

    where is that key, when i created that account i didnt have any key i just created it and they gifted me the hl pack, i swear i didnt have any key, its a steam gift

    back in that days there were no gifts man, you just had hl1 platinum pack with key which you have to enter and this will allow you to play game online (create steam account)

    dude then how i didnt have a key and have this pack, idk but i created those acounts i didnt bought, i have no clue but btw is there a script or something to see the hl2 key that is in the account?
