WoW or RS?

It just seems like less time because you're no lifing. Time seems to go faster the more addictive the game.

Personally I like RS better, but for the rpg aspect; the fact that there are so many skills all intertwined into a delicate economy. It's notorious for its reputation of "nerds" where I come from, but it's still an amazing game.

 

No. You can type /played and see the amount of time you've spent playing. I guarantee that a level 80 WoW character will have less played time than a 138 Runegay character.

Runescape is for if you are Poor, or are just sad.

 

I have 3 characters that all got to lvl 60 and each character had less than 24hs of play time on each. lets take lvl 60 in wow as the equivalent as 70-80 in runescape. It would take a hell of a lot longer than 24h to get to lvl 80.

Which pretty much defeats the purpose of the game. People like a challenge, which Runescape has. Runescape gets my vote, even though I don't play either of the 2 games. I played rs off and on for 5-6 years. Played wow for 10 minutes on my friends acc (level 68) and got bored.

 

It is a challenge... Halo 2 on legendary is one fucking challenge but it still only take me a few hours..

The length of time does not determine its difficulty. Runescape takes a long long time to get maxed in yet it is very very easy... it just takes time.. get the point? or are you too stupid to digest simple logical explanations.

 

Why do you think 9 year olds can get level 138?

Runescape in my opinion has some feats to it. For one being able to run on a browser.
Being a free MMO i can see why it has such a large audience.
Having said that - to compare a game which cost millions to make, against a barely 3d game is incomprehendable to me.

The reason why World of Warcraft is so much more popular and more importantly successful is only for simple reasons against Runescape.

1.Far greater depth - peroid
2.Greater character development in class/race - somthing wow isn't great at, however trumps runescape.
3.A story line, Wow even has a movie coming out because thier story is so immense - unlike runescape.
4. Graphics - not the most important, however is apart of the game....the reason why people play games like crysis - eyecandy.

 

I have played wow, and rs, but my vote goes to wow.

They both have bad graphics (yes wow does too.)

if you want to see good graphics play guild wars.

Wow has almost no content for lower level players, you have to just grind for a few months until 80 and then you can start doing some fun things.

It must be played constantly to turn a profit, even merching requires long play time,

Have you actually done almost all the quests on runescape? and paid attention to the storyline. Runescape has a great story, but most ppl think quests are boring and use a guide and dont really understand what everything is about.

If you play runescape in high detail, it isnt bad really, not bad at all compared to wow, but compared to guild wars both of them fail miserably.

Ok, show me something that you need skill for in wow? You mean you need skill to click buttons that make you do special attacks? or do you need skill to ditch all your friends to go play wow in your basement for the next 5 years? Or do you need skill to weigh 450 pounds with a 2 inch?

The same amount of skill is required in both, in wow you have unlimited moves in your bar thing.

 

In wow, its the same exact thing? It takes the same amount of time to get 99 slayer in runescape as it does lvl 80 in wow.

Yet wow has hundreds of realms, and you need more then 1 character to expand your game play. Then you have pointless quests that are so fucking retarded.

RS and WOW require the same playing time atleast, wow requires more most of the time.

2 different games.
One is a graphic oriented downloaded game that requires many graphical updates and patches and is payed for.

The other is the most popular browser oriented game with the ease of a fun MMO at your hands

I love both the same in my opinion. Whatever runescape player says WoW sucks. They are either jealous they don't have it or are being stereotypical of there pride towards rs. They are both amazing games, but again can't be compared.

If you have a good computer, WoW is better. If you have a shitty computer, Runescape is better. Simple as that.

For to ask " in wow what takes skill?" tells me that you have never played it or have very little experience. Ok if you were to get to lvl 10 and i was to get to lvl 10 , both with the exact same gear and same class i would rape you... you know why? Because ive played the game for a long time and i have skill at it..

A game that requires no skill cant be determined like that, otherwise the only reason i would be winning is luck. PvP in wow take huge amounts of skill to play at world class level. I personally have played against world class players and despite my advantage of better gear they still beat me easily.. why? BECAUSE THEY HAVE SKILL!! GET THE POINT!!!

 

I played a hunter pre-3.1, my rotation was Hunter's Mark, Serpent Sting, Steady Shot until serpent sting need refreshing then kill shot when below 20% health. I even had a macro to cast kill shot if possible, and if not, cast steady shot.

So it went like this - 1, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 2, 3, 3... etc

With this rotation I managed to maintain 6k dps on Patchwerk before 3.1 was released. Then they had to nerf BM and I had to go survival, and press an extra button... MADNESS!

However I play Runescape atm, only because my internet connection fails and you can't tank bosses with your face (bear druid) if you disconnect frequently.

 

lol yeah hunters tend to get into a boring dps rotation, that's why i like my rogue =D gives me a bit more versatility.

 

I agree Hunters DPS Rotation is very boring but they are a very Unique class overall and ranged DPS is always a +.

 

Also have to remember that you only get into boring spell rotations if its like a tank and spank. In pvp you have to vary yourself a hell of a lot more.

 

if you play for graphics play wow

but if you play for the game play rs--much funner and i personally think its better to play rs cause the game is 10x better
