WoW AutoFighter Alpha Release

I'm exploring writing colour clickers for WoW, something it seems few have done so far.

This is an alpha release of an AutoFighter which (at least on my machine) will fight whatever monsters are around until you die, then will try to return to your corpse and respawn to repeat the process.

The instructions are sort of complicated so I'll list them here (this is just a copy paste of the intro messagebox you will get when you run the bot):

This is an Alpha release of Sythe's WoW Autofighter.

Before you click ok, make sure you have WoW setup correctly:
1. Set WoW video mode to windowed mode 1024x768 (not maximised)

In interface options:
2. Reset interface options to defaults.
3. Set Display->Rotate_Minimap to yes
4. Set Camera->Max_Camera_Distance to high
5. Set Camera->Auto_Follow_Speed to high
6. Set Mouse->Click_To_Move to yes

In Macro Options:
7. Create a new macro (give it any name), set the Macro Commands (text at the bottom) to
/targetenemy *
/startattack
8. Drag / put this macro's icon into the hotbar at position 0 (after 9); and exit the macro screen.

After the above:
9. Zoom out using the scroll wheel, position camera at 30 degrees.

At any time Press and hold 'END' to stop. 'wowbot ended' will appear topleft of screen when the bot stops.
You can make a copy of these instructions by Ctrl+C on this message box and pasting into notepad.

Click OK to start when ready.

Nice to see you making stuff again. Feels like 3 years ago... are you using the WoW Addon extension for Visual Studio? Because every time I try to install it, it utterly corrupts my Visual Studio installation.

No actually. I am cautious of using their in-game scripting & API, although this is the obvious way to cheat. Reason being that they just sued glider and all macro scripts are stored server-side.

This is basically a raw scar-like engine written as-I-needed-it in vc98.

Does it do spells to attack things, or just a meele attack(right click)?

It's just right click atm. But you could probably modify the hotkey 0 macro to cast spells as well as auto-targeting.

Soon as you try to use any bot while on WoW, it gets reported NO MATTER WHAT BOT. Not saying it doesnt work because it does.....But Blizz is more strict when it comes to botting then Jagex is. They have that custom add on that tell if any NoN wow programs are interfering with command functions....Something jagex cant use because we dont install there game onto our computer. I suggest *if i can suggest that is* that you do it the old fashion way, just by grinding exp/questing.

SIde note: The bot does work though, Good bot, May use it briefly when i take short breaks. ALso the only well known anti-ban bot is glider but blizz mentioned that they are releasing a BRAND NEW Bot/RWT detection system soon. They not planning on having trade limits like runescape but this security update should be HUGE. Ever since that fake update patch for frostwolf.....blizz has become strict about botting/RWT

That makes no sense, and yes you do install their binaries. Check: C:\WINDOWS\.jagex_cache_32\runescape on your own machine.

Can you provide me with a link to an article about this?

 

I know its a bit off-topic, but do you have any plans on making a bot for Aion? It's fairly new, so I don't think there are many(or ANY) bots for it ATM.

I guess you can start it when they start giving out the 200 hour free trials.

I plan to do a number of small bots / releases for whatever people want over the next few months. So I'll take a look.

Yes, there is bots + real hacks for aion. I am a super mod on a RoM cheating forum and we are partnered with a Aion cheating site. If you wish i can give you a link through PM as im not too sure about advertising rules on here.

sorry forgot about my post here.....They mentioned this at blizz con 2009 but didnt mention when they plan on releasing. someone asked about there view on RWT and they gave us a peak at whats to come.

They did mention a little something about a new way of detecting whether or not your were botting and such, but I don't remember when during Blizzcon this happened. My guess will be this will come out in the next major patch or, at the latest, when Cataclysm is released.
I myself used a program that blocked and disabled Warden (What Blizz's "anti-cheat" program is called) back when I was using Glider. BTW, I can't wait until Glider comes back.

I honestly don't think this type of thing will work to well. I mean, I personally don't know anyone in my years of playing WoW, that has used the Click_to_Move. It seems that this and the fact all you do is white damage and not use any abilities/spells, would make it seem that it is not a real person playing. I'm not demeaning the amount of work you have put into making this bot and the fact that you released it. I just don't know how practical this would be in an in-game grinding situation on normal servers.

It's only a toy-release to gage interest and collect information like this ^ really.

I actually know a lot about what needs to be in a bot that will make people want to use it and what will make it look like a real player is playing. 1 bad thing that was easily distinguishable about Glider is the way it used the ability keys. They had certain maps about how your keys should be laid out.... If you have 300 characters with the exact same key map, it looks suspicious.

I think it is wonderful that someone has actually started to take an interest in actually beginning a new bot for wOw though.

I think probably the best option for a more advanced wow-bot is a fully scriptable SCAR-like engine specific to WoW.

I tried an old version of scar on wow and it doesn't seem to send the mouse and keyboard events correctly. Maybe the new versions do.

Basically what needs to be done with WoW is an asm-hack to point the cursor without moving the user's mouse. That, combined with all the standard window messages will allow full bot input to WoW while the window is inactive, or even possibly while minimised.
