I went today, yes it was full of nerds. And out of the possible 1000/2000 people there were only 2 nice looking girls. Not surprised, lol.

The people were friendly, but rather shy and dull. It felt to me as if I were attending a maths club.

If I had not been paid for/and paid to go, then I would not have bothered.

 

Thats so funny Can you make a thread that kind of details what went down at the festival? I remember when you announced you were going and I thought it was pretty funny. Would love to hear some stories! Did you end up wearing a Sythe.org T-shirt??

And I don't think I could ever go to Runefest, unless it was fully paid for like Oxodium (even then I would probably still say no lol). Simply for the fact I think I would just feel too nerdy and that it would be really awkward. Like what do you talk about with all these geeks in their costumes?

I'm pretty sure if you didn't have to pay for it, any single one of you would go.

If the situation was as followed:
1. Your ticket to Runefest is paid for by someone else.
2. Your airline ticket is paid for (or other means of travel)
3. Your room and board, as well as food and such is paid for.

None of you would pass up a free trip. No one would. =|

No. I'd have to buy a plane ticket and find some where to stay so forget that shit. Unless I had a money tree.

 

It was basically just talking to jmods, and completing dull and boring puzzles, there were some name boards. I attempted to write sythe.org in bold lettering, but there was a few mods around watching so I thought best not. Other than that, not much. Just talks, people playing runescape, drinking and chatting. I suppose at least people were not boasting about their ranks on rs.

 

Loads of nerds would happy slap me cause I bot.

 

What kind of exclusive items could you possibly win at Runefest?

From what i understand its expensive, and i live in tha United states. If it were ALL paid for, and i had someone to come with me i would go probably, at least to check it out.

 

Yeah I would go. I like the game, and I know that there's not going to be anybody I know overseas, and a chance to get ahold of exclusive items. There's not much reason why I wouldn't go, except for ticket price, travel etc.

 

I'd go if I got free tickets, other than that, no way.
