Worth taking legal action?

recently, i got scammed my only x box live code and the person exchanged with a fake ms point code, i got tons of proof and even the persons ip, this guy can get charged for fraud and scamming, tell me if i should cuz i am really pissed off cuz my family isnt that rich and cant afford those things

 

If your family "Can't afford these things" you shouldn't waste money on Computers or Xbox 360's.

I wouldn't report it, not worth it tbh.

So are you trying to recover your losses for your live codes if that's the case then small claims court is your best bet, but I wouldn't recommend it for something pety like a live code you're going to be paying for the fees regardless and it's going to outweigh itself with time/money effort put forth. Best off informing their local authorities if you have the IP and proof. Also you could contact there local attorney general if you wanted shit escalated.

Honestly don't waste your time taking legal action against something this small. I'm not sure how the laws are in Italy, but in the US just having a persons ip doesn't mean much. Not to mention, if for some ridiculous reason this didn't get thrown out, you'd probably have to pay for an attorney.
Cut your losses and learn from this so you don't get scammed again.

I am...400% sure this is a lie.

It was 5 days since the original post, no legal action is taken that quickly, especially if your family is too poor to afford a lawyer.

 

Plus, you can't take them to small claims court. The minimum is $20. It's not fraud, he just gave you a fake combo of #'s and Letters he put together. Stop spamming
