Worth playing RS again?

Hey I have been wondering whether to buy members for a brand new acount as my old maxed zerker got hacked or stolen or whatever I don't really want it back but was wondering what to do on a new account, was thiking of trying to get the quest cape then sell it on here...

 

Hmm and why not recover your account and get quest cape on it? Would be worth more than starting over again

 

I have forgotten the email and can't get to the recovery question page on their new website, I'm an old school scaper as you can probably tell hehe.

 

personally i dont think its worth it. eoc is shit and community sucks

 

This, it's bad enough that the game is pretty much ruined with all these terrible updates e.g. EOC, but the community is appalling, the majority of people are assholes, it's rare that you meet decent, non-pixel hungry players.

 

Not worth starting again, EoC has destroyed runescape in my opinion.

 

It's basically a shell of what it used to be. Eoc may feel like it has improved game play to a large portion of the players, but to most of the veterans(not all), the game lost it's feeling, maybe not of originality but there is nostalgia involved whether some of us realize this is or not.

Runescape was kind of an old world styled game, and it even lost that over time slowly after Gower left, and his vision was no longer a factor in this game. That's why so many people are hyped over 06scape, because graphics and gameplay are not the main factor, but the friends you made and the good times you had with other players.

06scape is pure nostalgia and is definitely a major factor of why veterans still play Runescape to this day, because of these old values that are now being lost and they are trying to salvage what good times they had before. Why else are rares like phats so expensive, because they are old, discontinued items that demand respect of some sort when worn by players that show wealth.

Nostalgia is even involved in items. What brought the veterans to Runescape is now either down on its last leg or gone. If veterans say they play Runescape for it's great graphics or gameplay, they must have to be atleast partially lying to themselves or not even realize it yet. I don't like to make assumptions on how players view this game, but i think i can speak for a lot of veteran players.

Or I'm probably just talking a lot of nothing.

 

Don't play again jagex have runined runescape by adding E.O.C. its rubbish!

 

I am actually going to start again myself. It is not ruined by the eoc in my opinion, it has changed, and people are quitting because they haven't tried it or don't fully understand it.
I won't have any idea of what I'm doing, but the only way to find out is play the game, and if I end up not liking it i'll just stop playing.

They offer free membership for new users now, so you can see whether you still enjoy runescape or not during that period. Free membership lasts for 2 weeks.

 

Ignore them. EoC has made RS better, as progress is what is needed for all games. Everyone raged when QuickScoping was removed from Black Ops, but they all still bought it.

I'd try and email [email protected] and see if they can help, sometimes if you provide enough evidence they give you the account back.

If your an old player I wouldn't suggest playing it again, it'll make you cry.

 

Stay as far away from Runescape as possible its WAAAAAAAAAA K! !!

 

EOC is not bad...but it's still in early stages.

My honest opinion it's worth coming back, if you enjoy MMO's

 

it is worth it if you enjoy it.. and thats all there is to it... if you enjoy it enough lvl up again or buy a cheap account to save a bit of time.

The negative comments is the constant gaming flow, the oldies all getting over the constant changes to the game they loved (the changes arent even bad.. just different and some people canrt handle that) and realizing the community is filled with kids, as more and more start to play and less and less mature older players leave

 

it is worth it, but it is personal opinion so just try it out for a month and see if you like it as much as before when you played. oh the nostalgia :')
