World 66 Riot

Well since 2010 Runescape homepage views have gone down from 1.6million to 600k

 

Haha wouldn't be surprising.. it's as easy to get as an iron scimitar.

 

Just checked.. theres only 230k people online right now.. thats pretty pathetic.:'( :noworry:

 

Runescape is seriously suffering at the moment.
But to answer, No. Runescape will not shut down, they are making enough money from the people who bot.

Runescape still seems way more popular then what it was back in 07'.

 

Unless they're going to have gold farming workers, then they won't do that. Why? Because for one thing, spawning money for people would inflate prices to all time highs. Spawning money would also make gold be pretty much worthless. (If they spawn it, I would expect gold to be worth about .1 or less per mil).

Rioting in game just doesn't work.

Considering the riot in 2007 for the pkers did nothing.. This is nothing.

 

Or did the riot in 07 do nothing...If I may remind you, we definitely do have the wild back.

 

Nothing will be achieved from this, people are just wasting their time to be honest.

 

Again, the riot is because of the recent "Refer a Friend for an EXP Bonus" program. We (the Runescape community) are complaining that it is borderline RWT, which is something that the Jagex community has publicly said they will never do.

There is really little chance that anything will be done about it. However, I think this is the biggest commotion that has ever been made about an RS update, except maybe the removal and reintroduction of Free Trade.

 

Thanks for clearing that up! Thats a very interesting point! I think it's silly that they are combating this update and not the loyalty program.. Which is RWT at its finest. Even though you only get a stupid Aura or silly title in front of your name. Either way, Runescape is getting worse and worse with each update.. I'm curious to see what Gower comes out with at Fen.
