Not to be a huge dbag... but I was looking at the link to the Sythe FAQ and noticed the one section says The blackmarket and how it works.

I know it's a different subsection, but to a newcomer who is looking at this as a craigslist, "blackmarket" may not be the best terminology?

It also seems that parts of the thread are slightly dated... It should be updated to reflect what you have in the Tutorial.

Also, the main focus of your "trading safely" is very generalized in the PM. Something may want to be mentioned that each section has extra tips on how to protect and secure everything.

ie: The Steam section has different protection methods than the runescape section. -- Even though this may be considered "Forum Specific Rules", I think the stickies for protection in each section should be mentioned as well.

 

Considering I've not used Steam before, perhaps you'd like to write something up then?

 

As I said, each section has their own way of handling the protection and security of an account.

For example the steam section has these three stickies that will help a user to ensure they won't be scammed:


The user should read all those stickies in the sub-forum. My favorite is stringcheese's guide as it seems to cover the basics of everything. Since that is the "beginner" guide it's great.

The WoW market also has stickies similar to this, and I am looking at possibly setting one up for the LoL market as well.

 

The FAQ still needs work. I just really got tired of it. This thread is about helping new members. The FAQ is just a resource at this point. I do appreciate the input though.

There're lots of good guides there: Page 1,2 and 4 have good guides

Though you guys could use the inputs on that thread instead of creating a new guide (rwrm2)

 

Yea we (at least I) knew about that. I was going to link the guide it produced in, which it may have already been done. Idk.

 

There is something else you could do with this... After it's completed create another section to get feedback from the new users - give them a minirank for verification that they actually read it/gave us feedback.

I know it might seem stupid but it may also give us an insight as to whether the newcomers have actually read the rules or not.
