Work - lyrical poem I guess

    Work

Alarm blares in my ear early in the day,
I hit the snooze, remaining on the bed I lay.
Nineteen minutes later rings again so I get up,
Ask Haley if she wants breakfast, drearily she says yup.

    After breakfast hit the shower,

Turn the water up so my body it scours.
Step out, dry off, and brush my teeth,
Grab my phone to wake up Keith.

In my closet I put on my clothes,

Smile at the mirror as I strike a pose.
Walk out of my room, headed for the truck,
Rushing to work, I run over a duck.

Get to work just on time,

To my station, up the ladder I will climb.
Start the machine, Flame comes out and I know it's ready,
Cut through the metal, so I must hold it steady.
