Work at 17

What jobs are out there today that you can do at 17?
Without a Highschool dimploma/GED
I live in the US and am looking for some ideas of where to work please give me some advice.

Also as what did you work if you worked when you were 17?

Lowes, Home Depot, And walmart are all possible ideas. I'm 17 i work at lowes keeping the parking lot clean, and work at the race track on Saturdays, but anyway you should be able to get in one of those places. Just simply go in there and fill out the application on the in-store kiosk.

 

Construction Labourer. Just get a SIN number dude. It's hard work but honest and satisfying.

 

Its going to be just retail and service jobs with minimum wage pay. Go start applying EVERYWHERE for a job, that's what I did.

 

Anything minium wage will hire you eith the exception of the few that require you to be 18. Those exceptions are anything selling tobacco products, etc

 

I started working when I was 15 at a local YMCA, still working there now at age 17, with a great chance of becoming the next department director next school year.

Right now I'm getting 30 hours a week, average 800 dollars a month this summer, and about 600 dollars a month during the school year.

 

Department stores, fast food restaurants, things of that nature.

I got a job at 16 as a welding site seer at the Army Depot near my house. Now that I am 19 I co-own the building me and Tina (my boss) built.

Good things happen to people that try hard, remember that. Go out and pick up applications from all the places that have them, and fill out the online ones for those that do not have paper applications.

In some towns, there are certain local Restaurants and stores that will hire most people over 14. I worked at my local "WaffleShop" for 2 years; from 14-16. I'm a week from being 17; and after my vacation, I'll be working on Campus.

 

I started in the hotel business @ 16 yrs old.

 

check out craiglist and see what people post, there you can see what industries are hiring and hit them all up.
