    Windows Live Messenger doesn't work.

I don't know what's going on, but Windows Live messenger won't start up. I double click the shortcut / msnmsgr.exe file and it does nothing, just nothing. I tried reinstalling it, even running a system restore. Nothing. I tried reinstalling it in safe mode, no succes either. I don't know what to do and googling doesn't help.

I have the same problem with Adobe Reader.

    Windows Live Messenger doesn't work.

It sounds like your computer may not be compatible with Windows most recent version of Messenger. Perhaps you can do as Daily suggested, and install an older Version of Windows Live Messenger.

I'm also wondering, if you have anything existant in this directory when you uninstall Windows Live Messenger:
    C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger

For you to fix this problem once and for all, I want you to do this.
    • Go to Control Panel, found in the Start Menu.
    • Whether you're in Classic or Category View, click on 'Add or Remove Programs'.
    • Remove Windows Live Messenger, or whichever Version you are using.
    • Access the above website, and download the later Version of Windows Live Messenger.
    • Problem should be solved, but you may be prompted to upgrade to the latest Version of Windows Live.

If the problem still continues, please send me a Private Message or reply here. I should check back later.

P.S. As for Adobe Reader, I'm not quite sure why that wouldn't work. Have you uninstalled and reinstalled that?
