I know it's a pretty shitty rig compared to others, but I'm not looking for much.

This will be my first computer build.

I'm open to suggestions that will keep it at the same price range.

The first motherboard is good because it has many ports, and also can hold 8GB Ram which is also a plus side.

 

I would go with an i5 2500k, different gpu, and a z68 motherboard. Other than that everything you have in your original post is fine.

 

You should get some fans. You should invest some in a decent cpu cooler. Atleast. My build is pretty much identical to yours, and it only cost £200. It works real nice but my comp gets super hot since I have no cooling.
