Will Sythe's layout ever change?

More than half the people I talk to from OSbot don't use it for that reason; Not even an exaggeration either. The layout still needs to be touched up on to make it more intuitive to new users - It feels like the only reason it hasn't changed is because of old users clinging onto nostalgia and the fact they don't want to learn a new layout. People hate big changes and I get that, but if it's turning away new people, maybe it should be looked at.

I'd post pictures of people talking about the layout but I'd have to make them as a link because the site doesn't allow you to copy and paste pictures... Most sites allow you to directly upload images, the site just seems to be stuck in the past.

I want the best for the site... I'm not trying to shit-talk in any type of way, just get across the point that maybe a design change is overdue.

I seriously don’t get what’s complicated about the layout compared to any other forum.

Wow thanks lol. But the original format seems to be best - I grew up using it.

But I think the debate is the general/standard format.

AKA; when a first time user logs onto Sythe do we get them on the new format or the old one?

Think we should debate what should be the primary format.

The dark'ish black/blue theme is relaxxing, for the eyes to look at
The design is simple, yet very functional

Its kinda of a classic look its been the same for a while!

 

I like the blue theme, but I think it's damaging my sight, so if Sythe changes it someday, my eyes will appreciate it, but overall it's sexy and does the job
