Will runescape die out?

Yes, RS will die out. I have a feeling it is going to die out very soon.

 

Everything will die out especially RS because it's at its declining stage.

 

Only good thing about RS right now is Pservers

 

I think it'll easily reach the 20 year mark (another 7 years?) with ease.

Like IDB mentioned there are over 400k active subscriptions, that's a healthy business.

 

Easily. There is a difference between 'dying out' and the game going offline. IMO the game already died a year ago, at the moment they are just letting it sit and collect revenue.

 

I definitely wouldn't consider it a good investment (like silver, or bitcoin), or even an 'investment' at all. The only thing I'd use it for is short term merching but even then you run a risk.

 

The only real risk in carrying RSGP as currency is the risk of bans, not the risk that the currency will collapse. The RSGP market has been extremely stable for a number of years, minus the max cash dupe period.

I would say there is at least years left. RS blackmarket is still quite active. Not going away anytime soon.

 

I've heard this saying, "RuneScape isn't dying, however it isn't making any improvements either". Which is entirely true. It's not going anywhere, which is positive and negative at the same time. It'll be here for awhile. It's like when people say an item is crashing, how do they know it is? More or less it's a group of people that are scared and spread that sense of fright without having zero evidence to support it.
