Will People Ever Go To The Future/Looking Into The Future?

I think that eventually someone will figure it out, But if they do, I hope someone destroyes it. It does seem like a great thing to go into the future, but think of how many ways it can screw up our lives. If I went 100 Years into the future and brought back a Hovering Car That has built in everything or something, think how someone will react or what will happen. Also, what about looking into the future? I think that'll alter your future. Suppose you look 10 minutes ahead and you see someone shooting you. What'lll you do? You'll stock up on guns and avoid public places and stuff.

Excuse my ignorance (if the case may be);
but is time not a wave?
so, if one person were to travel further into the wave, would they not force others to travel with it?

 

I heard something on the discovery channel, it was a while back so I might be wrong about what they said. but they said they can send particles into the future by compressing a bunch of lasers or some shit into one little spot and pushing it or something. I can't remember but it sounded really possible, and they said they was working on it now.

 

How do you know that the future has not happened yet?
Maby im weird but i think that there is a timeline a beginning <> end everything in it already happened...something like a movie that you can play over and over again.

Tomorrow is the future of today.
If your planning on waking up tomorrow morning, then theoretically you are in the future.
(That is if your looking at it from my perspective - that technically every second that passes is the future)

The only thing is you have no facts to back that up, the Something for all section is all about stating your facts/logical idea's, not silly things that can not be proven.

Time travel to the future I think is possible, but not to the past. The reason I believe this is because time can not go back, only forward. If you go out of the earths atmosphere time goes by faster, meaning they somewhat skip into the future (Near future of course) but I don't believe something claimed as a "time machine" would work to time travel, especially back in time.

 

I hope not for the fact that seeing your future would destroy the possibility for question and without question how boring would life be to have answers to everything

I don't think anybody would find a way, and even if they do, it would be a bad idea to do it.

 

i guess i could see time travel happening maybe, not to sure. i think its a bad idea look at the butterfly effect, like i guess if time travel could happebn then somehting like that would too

 

I don't think it'll be possible. Theoretically to do so you'd have to travel the speed of light. So even if we COULD (and I'm not saying we could--we can't even get subatomic particles to go the speed of light, and those things are MINISCULE--how are we supposed to get PEOPLE to do so?), we'd never use it, because really, to spend such an inordinate amount of energy teleporting one person into the future? It's useless.
