And that is impossable to comprehend because everything around us is made of particles that move, some noticable, like water, some aren't, like a desk, or the floor.

    This is not true.

There is just not enough motion to transfer energy.

At absolute zero nothing moves. He is correct.Read all the posts.

No it is not... i'm sure about it. Trust me, read up about it, encyclopedias, wikipedia, whatever.

Absolute zero is when the motion is not enough to transfer energy, thus no heat flow.

It will never be achieved, because to extract energy, energy must be used. And even if the machine that is trying to get 0 on the substance pokes it, that is kinetic energy transfered.

I think they said something about those electron colliders being able to take out all the energy... can't quite recall

However much they extract, there will be some energy which will prevent absolute zero being reached, hence the only possible way to have that, apart from anti-matter/dark matter, would be to have a situation with no energy to start with.

Like I said, actually read through all the posts, not just some from the first page. I think I know what I'm talking about. Never ttrust wikipedia as a source lol. That's just silly.
    Anyway, energy = motion.
    No energy = no motion.

    Ignorance.
Darren would've given you a whipping if he'd still be here.
    Molecular motion never stops.
Absolute zero is when there is not enough motion to transfer energy, causing a theoretical "standstill", but this is a myth.

    Seriously.
Absolute zero doesn't mean nothing moves.

read the last sentence of first paragraph. Notice that it's a Scientific journal.

    Well, ish.

There's some debate at exactly what happens at absolute zero (although the bose-einstein condensate is pretty nifty). The definition of that point would be the point where movement is at it's slowest possible, approaching zero... but perhaps not theoretically attainable.

damn.. this makes my head spin... what WOULD happen if absolute zero was reached.... im sayign that everything would be black
