Will 07 end up being like EOC?

it's not going to die for a very long. anyone saying people are going to go back to EoC are idiots. EoC was dying before 07 was even announced. if people liked playing it then they would be playing it right now. with everyone starting off from scratch, it will take a LONG time for people to "get tired". people played runescape back when 07 was current content and that was highpoint of runescape i think. people have accounts to max out, skills to level up, and players to kill. you guys are underwstimating the power of nostalgia of one of the best points of runescape. people just beed go not fucking ruin it with botting. you're only going to wreck it for yourself and everyone else.

 

They add new contents through votes....

 

07scape will die faster them eoc I think, because new players would rather play eoc. 07scape is not for new players, but for old players. And those guys would get older and quit.

 

I do believe that it will continue for a long time since updates are based off of player input. Since we get to decide what happens with the 07' Servers players feel as though they have more power and are ultimately happier with the feeling of security that the game won't end up like the EoC. Besides as long as its around long enough for me to get my enjoyment out of it, all is swell. ^_^

 

Well PKing will be a big thing on RS07. I expect way more single PKing and huge clan fights to dominate MB. The boss hunters will get bored and quit, but for PKers there's plenty to do. Some will probably make multiple accounts and builds, theres no longer the risks that you make a build and it gets screwed over becasuse Jagex releases another shit update.

But imo they need to split both games. Don't force me to pay for EOC membership plus additional fee. I haven't ever played EOC and never will. I don't have a problem with paying 10$ per month just for rs07.

I hope that 07 stays strong and continues to thrive with a great playerbase, but with the release of bots and economy manipulators, it's hard for me to even afk train without getting annoyed at some level 3's with random lettered names performing a task better than I can even though they put in the same amount if not less effort than I do.

 

Nooooo way. GP prices will eventually stabilize, but there won't be much new content/changes to the game. The OSRS community is really annoying when it comes to any change. My friend was telling me how someone on the forums tried arguing that changing the clicking(or something trivial like that) would be the first steps toward Eoc v2, lol. I mean the fact that people have voted no to tradeable rares shows how unwilling they are to change.

 

It will die down, unless jagex brings out more atrocious updates in the eoc

I think you'll see some players switch back to RS3 when it's released Also after the bots have drained the economy in 07, people might lose interest.

 

It'll die off faster unless they get a little control over bots. They still haven't implemented a lot of anti-bot measures and it's dragging down the economy. With people having the ability to run small bot armies it's not hard to affect it. Prices are gonna drop faster than people think, look at the price of sharks already.

 

It seems fairly evident, by the way bot mules/banks are acting at the moment when selling goods, that they reckon they need to ditch goods fast while they aren't nuked.

 

They need to stop doing these update polls and leave the game the way it is.

First of all, EOC had NO POLLS. THEY JUST PUT IN EOC WITHOUT THE PLAYERS FEEDBACK.

It is a lot better now that the community does actually have a say in what we get. Oldschool runescape is community powered, opposite of EOC. We have more freedom, so this thread is invalid.
