Why you cannot compare runescape to WoW

Well here is why you cannot compare the two.
A. World of warcraft is coded in C++ and not Java, C++ is a much more advanced and versitile language.
B. They are not even in the same category.
C. Runescape is a browser game and World of Warcraft is used VIA disc, The fact that runescape has as many players as a disc sold game makes runescape a epic win and makes world of warcraft a epic fail compared to it.
D. Comparing World of warcraft to Runescape makes you look like a moron. Why? Please state reason A, B and C..

 

You don't need the disc to play WoW. WoW is the #1 online game in the world; runescape is not. You're right though. You can't compare them. WoW blows runescape out of the water.

 

No, and You DO need a disc to install world of warcraft.. That's what a disk game is, Sure you can download it online but it is still widley distributed as a disk. Runescape has more players then world of warcraft, Runescape would be number one but it IS A BROWSER GAME SO IT CANNOT TAKE THAT PLACE. When I say you cannot compare them I mean runescape isn't entered in that field because of that very reason... If runescape was sold and installed via disk then it would then be the number one game. The statistics do not lie and etheir do I. Also, Saying world of warcraft blows runescape out of the water on a forum that is mainly runescape based isn't too smart.

 

Like i said on the Ps3Vs360 thread, It's a choice of game. A GAME nothing to important and people make such a big deal out of it. :\

If runescape was sold via disk, almost no one would play because the 6 year olds playing it wouldn't know how to install it.

Only reason you guys say Runescape is better is because, either you can't afford to play WoW, you've never tried the game, or you're to stuck up your own arse and rather pretend Runescape is better.

How many players does Runescape even have? (Not ACCOUNTS but players)?
(Yet, probably over half of them are bots).

runescape is better because u dnt gotta pay to play although i do. but i like runescape more because i cba waiting hours to play wow

 

I tried the WoW trail and couldn't say i was amazed, i believe Runescape is lacking ALOT of detail and depth when it comes to game play, think about it, most of the prayers are the same prays but with a 5-10% increase on them. I don't know why i don't play WoW but i guess its cus i played RS first.

WoW is a lot better. I have tried it and the graphics are far superior to Runescape. There's no discussion. Anyone who says Runescape is better has never tried WoW. The fact that it costs money, and is still the most popular game out there shows something doesn't it?

To you people who said you've tried the Trail, you really don't get a lot of game play out of that.

If you had never tried either of the games, and had 10 days on each, you would pick WoW.
It's not like 50 fucking cents a day is that much.

If you buy the disk you get some members credit or something. If you download it you don't. Adds up.

 

No-one has mentioned Ragnarok online yet ^_^. PvE in Ragnarok Online is possibly some of the most epic MMO gameplay I have ever had.

Also, RuneScape fails compared to World of Warcraft. Even though I play neither, I can safely say that I would prefer WoW, given a choice.

 

Why do we care?

Bottom line, RuneScape is in the MMORPG category. WoW and Guild Wars are as well.

RuneScape used to be great, until they basically turned every player into a prisoner.
