Why should we honor people reporting themselfes?

@Jacky @Carbon @Luck all bought hacked gold, and once it got leaked they reported themselfes in hopes of pardoning easier.
If this never got leaked, nobody would of known of it.

They made the decision to buy hacked gold themselfes, nobody forced them.
If they never said anything ppl would of known in matter of days, I hope they are treated equally despite admitting to this offense.

Should we really provide «special treatment» for commiting an offense and admitting to it, knowing that soon everyone would know about it regardless..

They should be banned for 3 months.
Why? They knowningly costed people money.

If someone admitted they stole from someone, they would still get fined/prosecuted. All be it, they would get a lighter sentence.

 

That is exactly what I was thinking aswell.
They get to insta-pardon, chances are they will get accepted aswell because they had "moral" enough to admit to something everyone was about to figure out. But they never admited to it like months ago when it took place. Why is that? Nothing was at stake then. So selfish....

Yeah I agree with you @Hex if Luck and Jacky are accepted back is Bs , Have in mind they didnt even give Chiks a DNT rank when he asked , they kept him banned because he needs to repay Frogstar/Pingy.

Sad thing no one made a report like in Chiks case so is kinda hard.

 

Jacky should not be allowed back, I have just come across the pardon thread where you are accepted or denied. And he has already had a pardon this year. He clearly is a risk to the sythe community by doing silly things all the time.

Staff will be taking everything mentioned here into consideration when we will be voting on the pardons. Nobody has been given "special treatment" so far, if you think staff has made/makes an incorrect decision feel free to make a post in the feedback section detailing your concerns.

The users who are banned for buying hacked gold are currently permanently banned. Just like with all users who are banned, they are allowed to pardon immediately if they wish. It is then up to staff whether or not we deem them safe for reentry into the community.

In order for the users to have debts, people need to come forward with proof that they have been sold hacked gold, and that they have suffered a monetary loss because of it. At the moment they have no debts so we can not hold them to the same ruling as chicks, as the situations are different.

 

@Jason yeah I understand they cant be hold accountable for losses without a report , Im just pointing out there were people that got screwed because of this.

An important thing to have in mind also is neither Jacky or Luck regret buying hacked gold. They are reporting themselves because it is convinient at this point in time.

I think both this guys think what they did is less serious because they admit it themselves but what @Hex was saying here is at the end of the day both of them bought hacked gp same as Chicks and they are admitting it because is convenient , not because they feel sorry about giving customers a free ban.

Jacky and luck bought hacked gold but if you read jackys pardon he clearly stated he never knew that it was against the rules and it's not even actually listed in the official rules apparently. They didn't ask for any special treatment and they weren't caught out by anyone.

Anyone who is banned is allowed to insta pardon doesn't matter if they've turned themselves in or not

I don't understand how, If he has to pardon once or twice every year, Doesn't seem very trusted to me. But I don't know him like you guys this is just my opinion. Sorry if I upset you don't mean to.

There's obvious bias included in some peoples statements. With that being said, I hope this bias doesn't actually carry over to staff decisions. But, I doubt that can happen, and people who are friends with one another will get less of a penalty. It's just how this community works unfortunately

Don't really know what occurred in this particular situation, but this has been happening for years. Just look at all of the users that were promoted to mod, omm etc before they decided to admit they were vading, had outstanding debts etc so they were looked at in a more positive light. Nothing against those people, some of the most helpful and trustworthy staff on the site have done this (i.e. Jack), while others weren't so trustworthy (i.e. ibdb). They're just playing the 'sythe politics' game.

 

Yeah this is nothing new, I just hope the people in question will have to live up to their offense(s) accordingly.
