Why PS3 Is Better Than 360

i like xbox 360 more. and the ps3 controller messes me up im so use to xbox controller.

 

If you have friends on Xbox and dont mind paying for Live (Not too expensive tbh) then id say xbox is definately better. I dont have a PS3, but have used one. Xbox has better features, such as Xbox Live parties, Private chat etc. so you can talk to your friends even if theyre not playing the same game/in your game.Also, the xbox 360 controller is awesome. Far better than any Playstation controller i have used. PS3 might have slightly better graphics and less rate of malfunction, but the difference in graphics is not all that big. Unless you have a lot of blu-ray movies around, your probably not going to use that feature of it, because blu-ray movies are quite expensive compared to normal DVD's. The Xbox 360 is quite cheap now, but the PS3 is coming down in price and you can get some good deals on secondhand models.

Despite all the other reasons posted above, the Xbox 360 is better for one reason.

Xbox 360 has a community, it is made for Friends, To be fair, i like sitting in A Party with 4+ People watching a football match over Sky. The Xbox is getting everything you need for a household, entertainment wise.

Oh, and not to mention Microsoft are generally better at advertising, and achieving customer needs, Thus this is why Xbox 360 has sold more Xbox 360's than microsoft has sold PS3.

 

I have both a PS3 and an Xbox 360 and for Online Gaming I like the Xbox a lot better than the PS3. There's a lot more features but that's probably because it cost money. On the other hand the PS3 is FREE but it's not that great online. It also has blueray but I don't use that so whatever.

 

Maybe the reason why the Xbox has sold more than the PS3, is because it was released 2 years earlier. In that time, Microsoft did a lot more advertising than Sony did for the PS3.

 

Compare graphics processors all you ps3 fanboys. The xbox 360 has a stronger graphics processing unit.

3) It's cheaper. (360 Slim with 250GB harddrive and built in wifi is $300 with headset and all) PS3 is $300 no headset included. 120Gig harddrive.

7) 360 Slim is newer. Hardware designed to defend against RRoD.
8) Many more players online at a given time.
9) Backwards compatibility on every system.
10) It can be modded to play burned games

 

I prefer the Ps3 as I can watch downloaded movies on my ps3 and you can play games in 3D, if you have a 3D television.

I grew up with n64 too. I loved super mario 64

 

They still advertise more, i covuld find a sales figure from since the PS3 came out until present and Xbox 360 sales would still be alot more.

You contradict yourself, for there to be better graphics, they also have to have the better processor, which the xbox does.

 

I have both systems it`s the 2nd time i`m owning a ps3, and i`m giving it a chance, and also, you can`t compare games that have been released at about the same date, if you haven`t noticed halo 3 was rushed. Anyone who OWNS a 360 and plays halo 3 would know that it has been rushed. Some games have more demanding graphics that a ps3 can`t handle or a 360. Ps3 and 360 both have great graphics but it depends on the game.

Also, imo the 360 has much more professional online then ps3. 360 is more of a console that revolves around it`s community. PS3 is more of a all rounder, it can`t have everything perfect. There is pros and cons.

Trophies and achievments, i say achievments are better because they sound more better instead of trophies it sounds too childish. And achievments add to gamerscore which shows rep, it sets an achomplishment. Not just like 500 trophies it isn`t that creative in that aspect.

Don`t know if you ever noticed but ps3 the ps3 is really annoying when doing system updates and such, it`s long and the pain in the ass.

It really comes down to what games your playing and what purpose you have on the console. I`ve noticed that when i bought a ps3, however i was dissapointed in the past from it`s older models. More heat slows it down, and strains it.

Now i don`t really have a fav anymore my ps3 slim and my xbox 360 are just right beside each other none can win my side now. I only favor the 360 abit, because i`m adore the 360 gui, unlike the ps3 same as the psp which is upsetting nothing really new :é

He does not contradict himself. Better graphics doesn't necessarily mean a better processor. For example if you buy a good graphics card for a pc that has a weak CPU, the graphics will improve, although the CPU might hold it back a bit. This is because the graphics are mainly generated by the GPU, not the CPU. Also, the Xbox does not have the better CPU, the title goes to the PS3's cell processor. It has eight cores, compared to 3 for the Xbox 360, this means that it has more processing power, even though only 6 of the cores are active, with the 7th core being used for the OS and the 8th core being "reserved." One of the reasons why the PS3 hasn't had it's full capablities used yet, is because the cell is a very hard processor to code for and the game developers find it difficult to maximize the processor's power.

A reason why the Xbox may have better graphics is because of the memory, the Xbox 360 has 512MB, while the PS3 only has half (256MB). This can impact severely on game performance as more memory will typically mean shorter loading times, and generally better graphics.

 

Online and offline has nothing to do with graphics, you obviously know nothing about video game consoles, and 360 does not "own" PS3 because of Halo. Halo is a shitty game, only the first and second Halo were good.

 

You all fail to realise that the PS3 is a much more superior console.

1. The developers at Sony are unaware of the full capabilities of what the PS3 can fully achieve. Therefore, future updates will take place adding FREE additions to the console.

2. As i'm aware, no other console is being released untill 2016. You do the math, (Years XBL membership * another 6 years)!

3. Why is it that XBL is full of hackers? Take MW2 for instance, how many users are hosting modded lobbies through modifiying their consoles? Thousands? Compare that to the PS3, where what? 5 users have full access to modded lobbies. To say Microsoft are a leading software company, how is it that it is harder to modify the PS3?

4. To be honest real life owns both PS3 and ShitBOX 360 on the graphics side of things.

5. Most of the 360 fan boys say they have no use for Blu-Ray, yet if you were offered to watch one of the latest films on Blu-Ray or a normal DVD your choice would always be Blu-Ray. Unless you were so far up your arse, that you'd hate to admit the PS3 is a better console.

6. I don't see how PSN or XBL have anything to do with the debate on which is a better CONSOLE, as if you had no internet access this wouldn't effect the outcome.

7. The controller for the PS3 I find to be much more comfier, this is personal preference.

Who ever designed the ShitBOX controller must of had some disability, why on earth would you want one of your analogue sticks higher than the other?

I could not agree more! Aside from the Wii thing..I'm not a big wii fan but there are some adults especially people who grew up on it that take pleasure in remakes of their old favorite games.

 

I grew up with a nintendo 64 and loooved it I even played the old zelda on SNES a bit..Played gameboy games and all that..Got the DS when it first came out and was excited for a bit but became slowly disenchanted after I got my PSP. Loved the Game cube..but then I got my PS2 and liked it more. Got the Wii and it was fun at first but overall was a big appointment to me as I don't really like any of the new age mario games and didn't like wii sports. the only thing that drew me was super smash brothers brawl but I grew tired of that and most of the shooters like resident evil were better on the other consoles in my personal opinion. I don't know what happened but one day it just completely stopped entertaining me altogether and now all I play is my ps3.

*The only possible exception would be every now and then I do play the new Super Mario brothers Wii(the red one) and liked it a lot though now it too is beginning to bore me.
