Why isn't Obama impeached yet?

This dude goes to war with another country without congressional approval and didn't get impeached?

Not to mention with every document he signs, our freedoms go with it. Anyone noticing that the Bill of Rights are becoming a memory? =@

Obama, as well as Bush, assumes that the congressional consent that allowed Bush Sr. to initiate Operation Desert Storm is an all encompassing consent for the war in the Middle East. Therefore the war is still approved by congress.

Show evidence where the Bill of Rights have been breached.

Hardly anyone in my generation are expecting social security benefits anyway, since our national deficit is 14 trillion dollars.. It's been known for quite a while, and even before Obama's time.

 

1. It was NEVER approved by congress. The President can attack another country without officially declaring war. However, technically dropping a bomb on another country should signal war.

2. Laws are passed everyday that limits freedom. Most resent is Maryland's Rep that's introducing a bill that would prohibit anyone from speaking against a member of congress or federal worker. a.k.a Keep your mouth shut. He's saying some b.s like it's to protect their security. Not to mention the hidden laws and b.s that slipped into major documents that were passed with the HC/Stem.

It's 14 tril but it's pretty good considering that it's well proportionate to GDP and the rest of the world.

You WILL worry about SS and medicare once you reach that age, unless you have a sexy investment somewhere.

 

Operation Enduring Freedom, Sept 14 2001. Passed unanimously through House (98 - 0) and Senate (240 - 1). That is the ongoing war we're in now. The warring countries is Afghanistan, and the militant group is Al Qaeda.

Operation New Dawn, March 3 2003. Passed with 77-23 House, 296-133 Senate. That ended in 2010. The warring country was Iraq.

Yes it did, I haven't read up the events in Libya. So the only thing I have to say to that is; the commander in chief reserves the right to initiate any action short of officially declaring war if he thinks it is a national security issue.

When you say "dropping a bomb on someone is basically declaring war", I don't agree. War is not officially declared by attacking someone. It's a political move, not a militant one.

 

The last time a president got congressional approval to fight a war was WW2

Soo Obama has to be held responsible for a bill that George W Bush signed back in 2001? All Obama did was temporarily extend some parts of that bill.

A no fly zone was placed on Libya by the United Nations. If any plane flies in that zone, it's able to be shot down and military action is to be taken by any country that's a part of the UN. We had the authority to do what we did, just as France and Britain did.

One thing I love about America is movies/books have raised us to question our government. Movies like 1984 made americans aware and although I agree with you that government is trying to get us to give up some of our rights saying it's for our own good or to protect from terrorist I still feel that Americans still have a sense of how much their freedom is really worth and aslong as people like you continue to question and spread the word about the governments actions we should be fine

 

A president can only get impeached if he did something illegal.

 

The OP is arguing that his supposed laws are infringing on the Bill of Rights, which is basically THE law. To break that law could possibly call for impeachment I suppose. On top of that, he's saying the President doesn't have the right to bomb another country without consent from congress-- also in the constitution. HOWEVER, I still don't think he has evidence to support his accusations of Obama's supposed unlawful acts.

 

The better question is where did he buy the balls to run for a second term? I mean seriously, dude is the Jimmy Carter of our generation.

I'd have to agree. He's an extremely unlikely candidate for next year. I disapprove of any president who hasn't served in the military because no one who hasn't experienced it first hand should have a right to direct them with so much authority.
