I don't see any better reason really. Unless you're saying murder isn't wrong. I would agree in that sense.

There are plenty of reasons why it should be taken from them. You don't like them, you're a paid hitman, etc...
But the question and the whole point of this thread is "Why shouldn't they be taken?"
which is essentially "Why is murder wrong?"

I'm sorry, I'd like to revise my own statement:

Taking a life CAN be wrong. It's just how you justify it. For example: There is a mass killer, and the word is that he's after you. If you're religious and you kill him, you go to hell (or whatever you beleive in), but on the other hand, by killing him, you could stop many other deaths. Self defense?
There all questions, you just have to justify each senario differentley. Personally, I could never kill, because of guilt, and fear that I wouldn't be forgiven/ be able to justify it.

Remember this if you reply to me: I'm taking on a burden thinking about all this, as I only just turned 13.

So your actual answer should be that "it is wrong because God said so (a commandment)". I would agree.

I will explain why its wrong... after you explain why its right.

 

Murder is wrong because you had the intent to kill a person. Think of it this way:

Your taking from someone the only thing they have, and the only thing they ever will have.

Self defense on the other hand, I believe in. When it comes down to myself and another person, I'd pick myself.

 

That's a valid point. Some people here have been acting as if it's not wrong, but it is right.

However, it is important to remember that the point is that murder is not right OR wrong, and that morality, outside of religion, is meaningless (some say that morality inside religion is also meaningless, but we'll leave that be).

 

I'll tell you why murder is wrong.

It is because when you commit the act of murder you are taking away the life of a beautiful creature. You are taking away this persons hopes, dreams, nightmares and in doing this your also ruining the lives and friendships of this persons friends and family.

That is why murder is wrong.

 

Why does that make it wrong?

 

Murder can and can't be wrong if different situations. For example if someone killed a member of my family or someone I cared about. I would personally "Shank" them. I couldn't give a fuck about going to prison. After all, it's only prison.

But to jus' go out and murder for no reason, pshh. You should be murdered your-self to be honest.

i would say its wrong, but if u were murdering someone fr something they did, authorities wouldnt seem to mind...

take this for example.... "hi, im john, and i think im going to murder you today."

is that right? i would say not...

so how about... "i just came over to rape you..."
your instinct is, simply put... self defense.
and given the volume of your adrenaline at that moment, saving your life could mean taking another one away.
which now makes YOU the murderer, but because of the stuation, it would bsically be allowed.
